arctic-turner Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I'm not feeling this new info so far :-( I thought the album would be an exploration of the black roots of country and these features and Beatles cover aren't sitting so well for me. It sounds more like a commercially oriented album to me which is okay too, but I will have to temper my excitement if it is not as conceptual 1
BnPac Posted March 26 Posted March 26 The leaks of information is always spoiling the fun a bit. If it's true Miley, Dolly, plus Beatles in one album feels like much but she'll make it work I'm sure. Spoiler Still, Little Richard was right there!

This is the problem when everyone makes their own theories "facts." Bey said that her experience in 2016 led her to research about the roots of country music which inspired her to make this record. She didn't say the album would be an exploration. She didn't say that she would only feature or work with Black artists. That's just projection from fans that's been repeated so much, it's now taken as fact. She said she was inspired, and Cowboy Carter, for better or worse, is the fruit. 9
ScorpiosGroove Posted March 26 Posted March 26 dolly wanting miley involved in the record wouldn't be that far fetched… but it's really really random
Jai Posted March 26 Posted March 26 WE ARE GETTING DOLLY PARTON? IM GONNA COMBUST. TWO OF MY QUEENS WORLDS COLLIDE. don't talk to me rn.
sillycilla Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Miley's voice is perfect for country IMO. I can see it. She is vocally strong. 3

Titanbaddie Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Vocally Miley and Beyonce's current voices would compliment each other so much. they're both so woodsy and earthy toned 2
CécredSpaces Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Honestly I wish I didn't know this information. I wanted that "fell off a chair" surprised feeling when I check Spotify on Thursday night and be gagged and insufferable about playing only this album for God knows how long. 1

Especially for an artist like Bey where you can't really tell her what to do or say what her next move is going to be. You set yourself up, hun.

I want them to be on the album from the get-go. Which ones are you talking about? The BREAK MY SOUL Madonna one wasn't a real collab. AHAP without Kendrick is better than AHAP with Kendrick. Lemonade's only remix was The Chicks' Daddy Lessons one but that wasn't a remix either that was a recorded live rehearsal. Did you really want the Pharrell version of Blow or the Kanye version of Drunk in Love on ST?

Things that are there from day one. Like, it's been thought of and part of the plan. Not a post-release "hop on this record" kind of thing.
Starshine Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Destiny Hope collaborating with Das Tina's Child? I'm not opposed! 1
BnPac Posted March 26 Posted March 26 From all the pop girls' names being thrown around, Miley is by the best option imo. A live performance would be fire! 2

sillycilla Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Listen... A beatles cover isn't far fetched ever since Paul McCartney was showing up to her shows.. I'm LIVING for the idea of her covering all aspects of country from blues to tejano music.
