Mitsouko Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Act I is the release of the first album without accompanying visuals for two years Act II is the release of the visuals for both the first and second albums, but without the second album actually getting released Act III is the release of the second album two years after its accompanying visuals 10

QueenB Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Do leaks even affect album sales in 2024? Anyone who buys a physical album is not going to stop if the album leaks. I know what DOES affect album sales and that's no pre-orders/no vinyls/no promo, so maybe we need a strategy change
Devin Posted March 5 Posted March 5 since REN leaked 2 days before its release. she prob withhold revealing anything.
yonsé Posted March 5 Posted March 5 those expecting visuals to drop with the album....are setting yourselves up for disappointment lol 4 1

Burn Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) If she wanted to avoid a leak then the best way to do it would have been to do a surprise release i.e. ST and Lemonade, no? So it begs the question of why didn’t she just do that. She knows she can trust that method as it’s tried and tested. I do think we’ll get the album details before release. If not this week then next. Edited March 5 by Burn
Kristie Kuwa Posted March 5 Posted March 5 One thing Beys camp can definitely be accused of: Inflated self-importance. I bet they thought they would shut down the internet with the CV magazine shoot, but all it did was leave question marks and now it's pretty much forgotten 4
americanshameless Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Imagine thinking she’d drop visuals for a 2 year old album to divert attention away from the one she’s releasing

I doubt they expected anything of it, besides for fans to gag for a day or two. 2
cuteboyzay Posted March 5 Posted March 5 What’s more concerning to me than the pre-orders is her not promoting/posting more aesthetic photos that match this era. Something is telling me we are getting more than just country I’m ngl, and something also is telling me some kind of visual might be dropping too. It’s just a little odd. You’d think after making a huge genre switch like this she’d be going full force on promo but she’s not. Y’all I truly feel Beyoncé is planning on causing even more controversy, and with the success of THE and the records she’s been breaking. I don’t think she kinda expected this type of reception from the general public and is trying to go about this in a very strategic way. There’s a loottt that’s about to unfold and I’m still kinda glad she’s waiting to unveil everything. But of course, my favorite thing about Bey is her ability to completely capture everybody’s attention so I’m kinda stoked . 1 1

And ngl after the “She Looks A Mess” phrase literally on one of the pieces, you can tell that was exactly the vibe they were going for. I feel the CR Fashion Book was created awhile ago but they’re just releasing it NOW lol.

cuteboyzay Posted March 5 Posted March 5 But also, WHY would she only be doing a digital drop knowing how much Country lovers LOVVVEEE to buy physicals? That’s so funny to me .

I’m sure she had to give Verizon and Lexus something after the tour. Honestly leaks don’t matter anymore, with how accessible music is, it’s the longevity which matters.

Same for Renny even though it leaked just two days earlier... You could tell from her IG post in which she thanked the hive for not caving I see why she's handling things differently now. Don't be mad, just trust the process. 2

So she doesn't do pre-orders to avoid the album leaking but decides to drop the visuals, with the accompanying songs, a day before? Effectively leaking the album to the public anyway? I get the feeling the visuals are imminent this time around and if not I could not care less. This still has nothing to do with the damn pre-orders.

I think it’s hinting that the visuals for Rennie will be released the day before Act II drops, not the visuals for Act II. Not that I believe it, either way.
LVP Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Why would she release visuals now. If they are one film for both act I am II why would they not include act III
benyonce Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Just now, Burn said: I think it’s hinting that the visuals for Rennie will be released the day before Act II drops, not the visuals for Act II. Not that I believe it, either way. That would be even weirder. That is a recipe for disaster from a marketing perspective. At least the two act movie would explain a lot of what has gone on over the past two years. Renaissance getting its shine along with Act II would be cute. Not the alternative. 2

I guess one theory is that the Rennie visuals being released the day before Act II is a symbolic way of ‘closing’ the Rennie era before we usher in a new one. At this point it’s anyone’s guess. Navyboy20 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Yall, I honestly think she's going to start promoting the album starting next week. She's hosting the Oscar's Afterparty this Sunday, which is basically the new RocNation brunch. It was the best Oscar's afterparty this year and I think this year will be even more buzzed about now that she'll be #1 on the charts during the event. Perfect time to make announcements since every Hollywood Publication will be taking about the Oscars on Monday. Beyonce crashed the Superbowl and stole the show. And now she's about to do the same at the Oscars. Just watch. 1
