Kristie Kuwa Posted March 3 Posted March 3 (edited) I mean CIL literally sits among legendary classics such as Thriller, so im not surprised. Im also happy CIL finally defeated Halo. That vanilla song shouldve never become Beys most streamed song Edited March 3 by Kristie Kuwa 1

FSXP Posted March 3 Posted March 3 (edited) CIL rising is definitely because the Spotify users are likely going through her discography. That’s probably also why Halo is increasing quite a bit too. CIL and Halo are both in her top 5 songs on Spotify. That’s also why she’s consistently pulling 800K-1M additional monthly listeners every day. The daily streams for all her albums are looking really good lately too. Act II could be a new streaming peak for her on Spotify in terms of consumption if the album is well received by the GP. cuteboyzay Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Do y’all feel like the On The Run Tours FEEL LIKE A FEVER DREAM!? Like truthfully I feel like they didn’t even exist and it was just something that just… happened!

It's still one of my favorite shows of hers. They should've stopped at that. OTRII and EIL should have never happened.
OnMyCoolJ Posted March 3 Posted March 3 OTR II was a great concert EIL is a fantastic album with only one bad song it (713) wish it was replaced with Salud and 713 stayed over at Tidal. 1
Burn Posted March 3 Posted March 3 18 minutes ago, AxelFox said: EIL should have never happened. Personally disagree with this because I think if it didn’t happen, we would have ended up with Jay all over Bey’s solo albums (again) instead. They needed to get it out their system so I’m glad they confined it to a separate album. 1
Draper. Posted March 3 Posted March 3 OTRII and EIL were really fun considering she wouldn’t have put out a solo studio album any sooner without them. I’d take that over any Ivy Park or Cécred drop.

Her sound, her art, her performance. Everything except the whole 'EIL era' which was a very stagnant period in my opinion. It did not contribute at all to her development as an artist and entertainer. 1

Ok but maybe it was significant for her personal life to do this tour with her husband? In anyway the tour was successful and brought them a lot of money and the people who attended had fun, so why try to delete it from existence for no reason? 1
ReachInsideMe Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Don’t kill me but I would delete EIL from her discography if I could, barely ever listen to that album. R&B is my favourite genre but it doesn’t do anything for me. It just juxtaposes with her development as an artist and seems so regressive to me idk At one point, I would have deleted The Gift but it’s kinda ageing like fine wine and I like it more now than I ever did. Otherside, FYWB, Already, My Power >>>

Kristie Kuwa Posted March 3 Posted March 3 (edited) The main issue with EIL is: There is not 1 song on that album that matches the brilliance of their other collabs (Crazy in Love, Bonnie and Clyde, Upgrade You, Deja Vu, OTR, Drunk in Love). So it literally just doesnt move you as a listener When u know what they CAN do, EIL just falls flat tbh Edited March 3 by Kristie Kuwa 1 1

ReachInsideMe Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Problem with EIL is it’s basically a billionaire couple bragging about their riches, NDAs, and their exclusive friend group so it’s not relatable. 4
R.E.M. Posted March 3 Posted March 3 the only reason y'all rag on EIL (and to a lesser extent, The Gift) is because it debuted at #2 zz the music is actually really good - APESHVT a classic 7
