And now with her alleged "whitest" genre, shes succeeding like never before. Im obviously just making things up for entertainment purposes, but who knows lol No I get it. I just think the reclaiming genres discussion should be what they lean into more. Her breaking down barriers and opening a floodwave for other black artists. They aren’t GIVING that yet. It’s more or less fans and media pushing it. 1

I mean good news might be that the response (aka that her mother looks better and younger than her) makes her rethink of going for such stylistic choices lol Im all for trying out new things, but some things should be reassessed and not published 1
ShouldersSideways Posted March 1 Posted March 1 help I scrolled straight by the black haired pic because i thought it was a random model 1
ShouldersSideways Posted March 1 Posted March 1 This shoot is really not vibing with a country album, it screams rock. I'm super confused but maybe something unexpected is happening

Forgive us for hoping that the spread in the prestigious high-priced fashion magazine, released in the same month as her hotly anticipated new album, would be related to said album and not to her repackaged Pantene money laundering scheme 2

A grungy photoshoot wearing (ugly) wigs as you're trying to promote both your hair care line and country album... The light's are on at the Parkwood office, but nobody's there... 4

Part of me is entertaining the idea Act II is a country and rock album, but I feel like the dual leads would've reflected that. One thing they're usually great at is cohesion, but this is all over the place. 1

Lose My Breath Posted March 1 Posted March 1 NOW we're talking I'm not sure the album isn't both rock and country, or it's a dual or something.
Machete Posted March 1 Posted March 1 If it were both country and rock she wouldn't release 2 lead singles both being country. Also her team/PR around her in media have made a big deal about how this is actual country. Rock is likely ACT III and this photoshoot is just un-thought out. 9

SickLove Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Opened the article link on CR instagram to read some story and it led to one of those "congrats! you are a special winner" sites. Just couple days ago my adblocked didnt allow me to go to the site on my laptop at all since there was something suspicious on it. What the **** is up with that magazine?
