V$. Posted February 29 Posted February 29 She posted the cover and title on the 30th, so would it be tomorrow? 02/30/2024 5
Triton Posted February 29 Posted February 29 Lol, within 3 minutes of scrolling Instagram I just got an ad from Parkwood for THE, an ad from Amazon for the leftover Renaissance merch and an ad from Cecred…. we wanted promo….

And now I'm picturing her doing the three movements of each act in an epic choreo for the last tour of the trilogy! A man can dream. Edited February 29 by Tangane
Dear Reader Posted February 29 Posted February 29 I’ve been getting into country music lately which is making me even more excited for Bey’s record tbh. I hope she smashes with a Country album, can you imagine just how iconic that would be 2
Erotica Posted February 29 Posted February 29 I don’t love the mullet in the CR shoot but it’s something we haven’t seen from Beyonce (the weirdest hairstyle she’s rocked is the random super short fringe) and I feel she always plays it safe (when it comes to hair). We rarely see darkyonce too. So I’m unexpectedly satisfied with the shoot. It’s something different, fresh … just like the music! I do love the red wig, she looks amazing (though I’m not a fan of the outfit). Not too worried about the pre-orders. Us fans will buy regardless and with THE becoming a smash hit there will be interest from the general public.
Kh-Loud Posted February 29 Posted February 29 After seeing her rocking all these ugly wigs, I’m actually glad she’s sticking the fried bleach wig 2
Burn Posted February 29 Posted February 29 (edited) Yall. I’m obsessed with these. Kanye’s ‘Donda 2’ wasn’t enough to make me want a stem player but ****, Bey’s music makes it look so cool. Edited February 29 by Burn
Cbreezy Posted March 1 Posted March 1 On a random but related note, just watched the new J.Lo doc and her manager Benny Medina was very verbatim about their negotiations with the streamers. He literally said "from Beyonce to Rihanna, they told us no one watches music movies. They don't do numbers". This along with the tea we have about streamers supposedly not jumping at Bey's new visual is really fascinating to me and all but confirms the fact that the numbers for BIK (presumably, as Homecoming seemed to smash) weren't up to par. Context is key (Disney+ was a new service at the time), but I really think these execs DGAF. They crunch numbers and probably have been pushing back on the Pop girls who they used to cut easy checks to. Hell, we know they are pushing back because Taylor's team were very vocal about not getting their due. Saying that, I wonder if the success trifecta of the tour movie, Texas, and her current buzz has given Bey more leveraging power (assuming a deal hasn't been done or very recently got done). The streamers have shown that they will pivot if they feel there's money to be made...just like they cut TS a bigger deal for the streaming release of her tour film than initially AFTER she smashed at the box office without their help. Just thinking aloud about it all in the context of Bey. 2

Especially as this CR shoot ain't giving much of anything anyway which I always knew would be the case. Interestingly, Yvette's post about the CR shoot just now contextualizes it in the context of being "for" Cecred, so that ought to manage expectations about quotes/music tea we're hoping for from it. Everything about the shoot being for Cecred is odd to me. The choice of magazine, the styling, etc. Odd. Anyway, my bet is now on tomorrow for the album cover + preorder. Total conjecture, but maybe just maybe they want the people to use their end-of-month paychecks to snap up the bundles. Plus, there's now more than enough distance between the Cecred launch and the album she wants the girls to open up their wallets to buy. That said... Reveal hidden contents **IF** the preorder is tomorrow, she is choosing to share the spotlight with all the new releases Why is she choosing to sell an album with less than a 30 day lead in when she had almost 50 days? Are we even getting a preorder? I LOVE the idea of Cecred, but it launching parallel to the album is proving to be annoying af. We didn't have this issue with British Vogue and its laser focus on the music as a precursor to BMS and then Rennie. Optimist Hive for the longest but having to keep putting the feeling of there being some kind of issue behind the scenes (from production to the album simply not being ready) to the back of my mind. She/her team have "got this"...I keep telling myself... Tomorrow better be the day, otherwise...

Just thinking aloud about it all in the context of Bey. i watched this too and also wondered if that has something to do with the visual delays. the doc showed just how difficult visual albums are to make and why so few artists do them. i think bey has mostly done what jlo did with her visual albums, spend her own money first and sell the project later. ms tina talked about how bey paid for bik herself in an insta caption. anyway, since act ii began i have believed we are getting visuals eventually 1

Navyboy20 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Listening to My House and I can't believe this is the same woman that would release 16 Carriages and Texas Hold Em 3 months later The whiplash. She's actually f**king insane 3

Just thinking aloud about it all in the context of Bey. today i was thinking of the possibility of her selling the act II album with a DVD with the visuals like the old times.. but i don’t know if that would be smart in 2024 when many don’t even own a DVD player i guess a streaming release remains the smartest and most profitable way to put out the visuals

osiris777 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Let’s be real Beyoncé next visual album is not premiering on streaming she is either going to premiere with amc again and they just were leveraging other options with streaming platforms to get a gauge of these ceos. Remeber the virtual reality company jay z invested in? It’s going to be in Theatres with the new technology. I also see her only doing it for a limited amount of time and then selling it on her website by itself with packaged deals for the album.
osiris777 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 She may release short videos like she did with formation as a deal with Amazon and you can stream the videos as you listen to the music par there sponsor of her.
osiris777 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Spotify won’t get the videos to stream I see her doing that just because Beyoncé does what she wants and Amazon paid her more
osiris777 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 This is a film cinematic the music kind of plays background like the body guard is what they have been hinting at. People always said she couldn’t act let’s see how things play out

Blue Rose Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Billboard lowered the weight of music videos streams, so labels stopped pushing them and investing in them. Then we had a long trend of low quality videos as a result and then people stopped caring. Then YouTube updated their page making the Explore and Trending videos harder to find for the average user.
PrudenceHCharmed Posted March 1 Posted March 1 It's funny that TG & Live Album isn't far off from Nicki's Queen daily streams despite the latter being a studio album with actual singles.
