I truly believe just like the conspiracy with the Drake thing and him possibly stealing Beyoncé’s idea for a Dance Album (that ended up having zero to no substance at all to it, hence why it had no impact). I feel we could have the same thing with J. Lo. Maybe not, but not meaning to be shady or anything - I question J. Lo’s ability to have thought of the idea of an album/movie herself lmaooo!!! :deadbanana2:

That’s kinda what I was thinking…like I don’t WANT to think it, but we knew he knew she was doing a dance album because of Heated, and I’m sure Jennifer knew about the Bey visuals. And I was just thinking about Rupaul doing that country ass performance on Drag Race a few weeks ago too :rip:

It’s like they knew her timeframe and said “let’s get our **** out first!”

Good evening heifers, what’s on the docket for this week? 16 Carriages top 20? Justice for Church Girl? Maybe RWT dvd?

THIS THIS THISSS!!! I think this is why Bey is soooo private about everything now too. Like imagine being so genius about your craft, and having such a gift that you gotta gatekeep these ideas because MFers wanna get credit :deadbanana2:.

It’s funny though because they are awful at it. And so when Bey ends up doing it people forget that they did it and end up crediting Bey because she did it well… the best :weeps:

jlo has been following bey's lead for a while now. the only thing her new film has over bey is budget. i hope the visuals for this era serve high budget. but i also don't think bey is dumb enough she spend a fortune of her own money on cgi ike jlo

from the glimpses and trailers we’ve gotten there’s no need to worry, and even beyond the budget there’s quality material at the core. the other lady… well there’s that old saying about putting lipstick on a pig :-*

Drake definitely got ideas after getting a sneak peek with "Heated", but the passion/intention ("Uncle Jonny connection") wasn't there. Unlike his earlier albums, he chose a genre this time that could easily sound hollow without the right intention.

Musically, JLo has been borrowing clusters of Beyonce's writers from her previous project for each album:

- The-Dream, Tricky Stewart, StarGate & Evan Bogart for her post-IASF 2011 project

- Detail, Sia, Dre Moon & bitter ST-reject Roccstar for her post-ST 2014 project

- Hit-Boy, iNk, Scott Storch, RAYE & Kaydence for this post Renaissance/Gift album)

... so I'm glad she can finally be seen as a front-runner for something with this film. :coffee2:  You can chalk it down to coincidence, but this series of events is too intentional for that.

Unfortunately, the music is supposed to be the focal point in perpetuity to pay back the cost of the visuals, but the album is looking DOA and none of the singles have charted.

I'm praying so hard... if she did a line-dance break down it would be MAJOR

Preferably so. It’s so anticlimactic for release day when these other girls have tossed out half the album prior. We have the following to look fwd to at the very least:

- Act ii title

- Act ii cover

- Act ii tracklisting

- Act ii pre-orders

SNL would be divine. If i dared to dream … a music video for THE

Texas Hold ‘Em reminds me of Muddy Waters particularly the recordings he did with public radio before he got famous. It’s the swing of the beat and the guitar, also some of her vocal stylings I can hear the connection.

If she released a video and did a performance right now, this would easily be her biggest hit in 15 years

I'm starting to believe Renaissance was originally the second act... the tour had sunny skies for the openings and the rotating sun interlude then she turns to chrome. What if the horse she is riding on the Renaissance cover was meant to be the same concept? A chromed version of the country album cover.. will be interesting in what it ends up being.

See like this makes sense too because Renaissance is all about Freedom and Joy. While “Rodeo” hehehe, is probably gonna be incredibly sentimental and deep. And ballroom only recently started becoming “mainstream” in 2020. While Carriages was made around 2018-2019…

GIRLLL!!!
