the Texas artwork is kinda giving Nomi Malone Showgirls vibes now that I think about it :jonny3:

I'm so ready for her to debut bawdy, tawdry saloon singer pin up looks.

I don’t know why, but the Texas visualizer looks like it was filmed years ago, probably at the same time as the act 1 teaser.

Are the official sounds available for both songs on TikTok? I can’t find them for some reason

Dolly wanted her to cover Jolene. At best, Bey is covering Jolene live. I don't see her including covers on act ii, it hasn't been her thing for a while

I was just thinking that Tracy Chapman would be an excellent feature, just like Grace Jones was for act i

And I don't believe there's Taylor collab, but  I'm here for the rumors. Free promo is the best promo

I thought someone on here said she doesn’t like Beyoncé 🤔

No pictures with her and Mariah at the Grammy Awards?

Apparently not. People are saying they aren't up yet.

i googled it before posting that cause i had a feeling that she might not like her, but i haven't found anything. i assumed everything was fine

does anyone know the tea?

Why is Bey allowing all these news outlets to refer to it as Renaissance Act II :rip: I’ve seen it from TMZ and Variety among others

Also it just occurred to me that we’ll probably get another insufferable and delusional press release when the album comes out. Hopefully it answers some questions but it won’t lol

A lot of you won't like this, but...

16 CARRIAGES is from the same musical mind as BE ALIVE and uses the same core approach to storytelling through the music itself.

I admit it does it far, far better, but it has the same ideology.... painting emotions with the musical choices, rather than making choices for the sake of it being a song construction we're family with.

The relentlessness of the drum+guitar hits, the relentless of the melody...it all so well reflects her feelings of ever-forward movement but in her career and caravans, and makes her feel small even as she's on the road to being something huge.

Melodically, it's one of the most interesting songs of her career, and it's precisely because of how minimal its melodic variation is. Beyoncé needs to literally be studied because I'm sure there is so much I'm missing being not familiar with music theory at all, but it's clear she's genius at getting her voice to do things that the music itself challenges her to do, like here adding so much texture to so much repeated melodies, or like riding the beat so hard in Get Me Bodied you don't even notice the beat is so damn sparse and there's no chords whatsoever. Even Tambourine (same producer, same sound, same time) added chords.

Anyway. It's really a gem of her discography.

I agree with your Be Alive comparison, however Be alive never went anywhere, this has a far more satisfying climax and bridge.
