I feel this is her Lord Of The Rings era where the first film/album succeeds, the second one is great but it's just there and then the third one she knocks it out of the park.

Seriouly, I just can't wait for the rock album.

i think she will have something on the album that can work as a single and be sent to pop/urban radio... renaissance was not just 100% house music it had its own fusion of genres, the same will happen here

I'm just glad she left Afrobeat behind. The behavior of some people from African countries when she did Lion King still disgust me when i think about it. So disrespectful for no good reason. Love her still taking risks and exploring with different things. I hope this album will have more ballads though.

I mean….yeah but she’s about to get the same treatment if not worse from the country cult.

anything outside of R&B and “Pop” will garner insane anger by weirdos.

Oh snap...

First of all: Thanks ATRL for crashing for hours every time something exciting happens in pop culture. :toofunny2: I really don't understand how it keeps happening, but anyway...

Second of all, that Verizon commercial was sooo much fun!! Seeing Beyoncé on Twitch me quiver a bit!! haha

Finally, I was prepared for the country sound since she put on that hat at the Grammy's, but both songs are actually quite enjoyable!!

This is faaaar from Daddy's Issues so I have to stan!

Texas Hold'em was my first love, but I finally gave a second chance to 16 CARRIAGES and this is so beautiful. Bey did it AGAIN.

But as with “Break My Soul,” Beyoncé’s attempts at 9-to-5 relatability can ring slightly hollow from beyond the veil of privacy and security her monies afford—it’s just as difficult to imagine her boot-scootin’ at a honky-tonk as it was to imagine her rolling at the club.

Bullshlt! If a rich woman can’t make songs about going to a party or relating to the billions of people who work 9 to 5 what is she supposed to do. Make music for the 1%?

Media literacy is at an all time low

Beyoncé singinf she is underpaid and overworked, she is clearly talking about her debut days

This obsession with relatability is why art is declining

As much as I understand the doom and gloom some may feel as Beyoncé enters the country arena, I think we should be more optimistic or at least take a wait and see approach.

Not only was the roll out massive, but the genius of dropping the risky Country single during the most hee-haw watched event in America was bold and shows her commitment for it to land.

It could definitely take over POP radio, and might even take off on country.

The checks already cleared for the roll-out and playlisting. Let’s see what Columbia has up their sleeve.

I also agree there is definitely something on this album that will fit on Urban/Rhythmic formats.

I dont know. There is a movement in Country right now to become more open, a young group of performers want things to change. I can see them reach out to Bey to give more power to this movement and Bey will accept the invite and deliver. I think Bey has reached that place again where she is about unity more so than anything else. The preview from the Texas Hold'em video shows that she is in her Single ladies, IASF era mentality with this. I dont think there will be any message about division here. She will just continue to ignore the racists and close minded clowns.

She’s talking about DC days when trying to make it.
For the part where she has become Beyoncé, she just says overworked and overwhelmed.
