Tripthelight Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 MINE is a true gem and one of my favorite songs of all time. Maybe it's just the Scorpio in me, but I love when Bey is in her moody, reflective bag. 4

And Heated best off Renaissance? I see a pattern. - I now appreciate XO in a different way since the emotional KB tribute. The way Mine also serves as a teaser for Lemonade

Act3 could then be her final magnus opus, her AOTY. Just imagine her creativity on sampling iconic classic songs such as these: It would be absolutely legendary beyond anything that has been tried in the realm of Pop. We will not ignore this brillant idea. The gaggery that would be, her working with professional ensembles, professional movie composers, mixing it with RnB/Pop/HipHop elements and her Beyonce ear. I just know it would be treated like the musical bible for decades to come. A true cultural reset. Her doing features with Mozart and Bach. 1
Triton Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Yass for the Mine appraisal, this ***** could have had an easy multi format hit with it in the fall of 2014. Plus that gorgeous video. Ugh just thinking of it gets me hot and bothered, Puta! 2

As a Canadian, I hear this concept and think of one of the biggest radio hits of the early aughts here, by Drake's first girlfriend Keshia "Kiki" Chante: Beyonce would go much further into the concept, but I see it being a winner. It’s a bigger hit than ANY pop girlie 2020 besides Dua Billie and Taylor That’s Britney fans. They don’t know what a hit is anymore 2

I think that concept, if executed well, would literally be the AOTY. I think music experts would cream themselves. If you look at it, shes already using a lot of classical elements in her narration for Lemonade or other projects/tour interludes. But a full album? My God Her putting a HipHop/Pop twist to sth like that 2
Psyduck Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 "Haunted", "Drunk in Love", "No Angel", "Jealous", "Rocket", "Mine", "Superpower" are the best on ST. Minimalist smoky electro-R&B heaven.
Chris Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 The Mine appreciation in here. But the real question is, what is the best visual from BEYONCE? Hm?

Blow is one of her best music videos in general and would've become a staple for her. There's so many unique and instantly recognizable looks and sets. The signature hit that got away. 2
Chris Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Haunted. Hmmm. Definitely one of her most artistic and unique music videos ever. Hands down. 1 1
Chris Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 I would love to see the unused/B-Roll of Blow tbh. Imagine. Drunk in Love was also one of my favorite music videos from NORENAISSANCEVISUALS BEYONCE. The simplicity, the black and white, her being on the beach looking so beautiful, her sexy outfit, an appearance from Jay Z.
Lose My Breath Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Still trippin that she debated performing Blow at the Superbowl Imagine the collapse, and then literal silence until December

Fleahive Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Remember when Beyoncé announced the title of her latest album and none of us knew how to spell renaissance without spellcheck or was it just me
