America Ferrera and Kehlani were also there.

Sabrina Sato and Ivete Sangalo, huge celebs from Brazil (Ivete being a music icon), were there as well.

Ivete was the one responsible for bringing Bey to Brazil the first time she came with her production company. Her co-owner was there yesterday as well... hopefully to sign some papers :eli:

Nothing more insufferable than the Glinda the good hive coming in pretending this era isn’t a dumpster fire and long time fans shouldn’t be disappointed and express their thoughts with other Beyoncé fans :giraffe:

This isn’t us falling for a fan theory and getting disappointed, it’s a year culmination of… nothing. We didn’t get these expectations out of nowhere, she advertised visuals with a trailer and tour interlude, her team hyped up a campaign like no other, she accepted an award in February saying “the renaissance begins” and… nothing happened.

You can express your disappointment in a sane way. The comments in here are gross.

the meltdowns have commenced.

a lot of y’all make a lot of really good points. we know b is elusive, but she used to actually interact and communicate with us through her blog, socials, and mini-documentaries. all of a sudden, that stopped. I think it’s valid to be frustrated at the fact she keeps us in the dark on purpose because she hasn’t always done that, even in her post-Mathew legend era, she was giving us behind the scenes looks and award show performances. now we’re lucky if she even acknowledges she has new music (Dubai anyone?).

she started the era with the idea she was going to be giving us interactive material (all the VR companies tweeting, dolby tweeting) and now a year later we’re still just listening to the record. If she wanted to take an old school approach and only put out audio, then teasing us with music videos and VR activations is not really the move.

Beyoncé has such a complicated career. She started r&b turned pop turned soul turned experimental and rap. She went from not cursing in her songs (somewhat family friendly) until a decade into her solo career she started throwing around the N word and saying **** in the chorus. Over time her target audience has become more and more niche. From all women, to black women, to gay black men. She has alienated so many people over the span of the last decade of her career. You would think he career would be a sharp decline because of this. But the music still holds up, the interest is still somewhat there, but the next generation of stans (gen z and alpha) care more about relatability or being edgy/cool. It kinda threw me off how the internet suddenly started treating Rihanna like Beyoncé was being treated in 2014. Young people want someone emulate. The younger generation prefers aesthetic over anything else. Beyoncé’s aesthetic has been all over the place and it doesn’t help she’s aged out and is an inaccessible married woman. The only fan base that can hold her afloat are the people that grew up with her and we are starting to look elsewhere for entertainment since she seems to be over it. Life is too short to be waiting around stalking fan accounts to get a clue on what’s going on with her music career. We are getting too old for this.

half of what you said makes the other half does not. Bey has a 25 year old career, her core fanbase from day will never leave her. They are not the ones crying on atrl for visuals and obsessed with chart performances. Bey's music means something to them and they find her artistic output reliable. That is what you need to have to have the type of longevity bey does. Because her cose base will stick with her no matter the changes in the industry and she worked her ass off to secure that base. The dua lipa and billie of the worlds will come and eventually go but bey will remain has she has been for 25 years.

Y’all are Beyoncé haters I swear, twitter hive is way more fun and like light hearted about being pissed off. They’re over dramatic about not getting music videos but yall talk like you straight up don’t like her anymore. Because she’s not promoting so her stats aren’t as good as you want them to be so you can win stan wars against swifties?? You could just not engage with stan type **** anymore and just enjoy the music yk. Like I want them music videos too but they’re not here, the album and everything else she’s done over the past 25 years is here though

You guys set yourselves up with these grand expectations thinking she’s gonna be outside like it’s 2008 every single time :ahh: I’m honestly surprised she even did a t shirt. Maybe the videos will drop tonight but if not I’m still going to the concert… what we really need to be on her about is announcing more tour dates around the globe for the girlies that can’t make it to the US and EU shows not more promo and singles.

Pressed Hive will remain pressed. Positive Hive will remain positive, and those of us in the middle simple don’t care, and are enjoying the music. It’s odd when people say that she’s sucked the fun out of the era, though. I’ve been to so many Renaissance parties throughout the year, creating some of my fav memories. I guess it’s all about perspective. It’s clear that some of ya’ll just want to fight, since Bey doesn’t care.

What this base needs to do is stop deciding things for Beyoncé, and then get upset when she inevitably does not do it. You're creating your own issue, and if your frustration is wrapped up in the little Beyoncé has done during this era, at what point are you going to take the hint?

Same! This has been such a massively joyous era for me. Would I have loved some of the things people have been complaining about? Absolutely. But that hasn’t removed all the joy from the era/music and it’s a shame that it has for some people.

I agree with you. But to be fair, most of the issues people have with her regarding the era is the literal teasing that she chose to do. My only issue is how defensive some of ya’ll get when someone feels different. It’s giving fixed mindset, and leaves 0 room for varying perspectives.

Besides the teaser, what teasing has she done though?

And I don't think people are defensive because someone feels different, I think people are defensive because it's rather annoying to come into the base and see it in a constant state of turmoil and complaint since before the album even came out, simply because people have placed expectations they should by now have realized are not going to be fulfilled as per their theories.

I’ll let someone who cares detail this. Lol But perhaps it’s the “vagueness” around the teasing, press release, parkwood twitter post,  and tour interlude “queen moves…” Truthfully,  it’s been a constant edging session with no lube.

I can get why that might be frustrating, but I still think at least half of that (if not way more) is done to oneself. If she's edging with no lube, people are stroking far longer than they need to be and with very little encouragement from Bey.

The few things she's said about the visuals ("a queen moves at her own pace" and "you are the visuals") are anti-tease, a call to let her do her thing, to acknowledge that they will be ready when they are ready.
