Every time I go to do karaoke at my local gay bar, I’m reminded that what Beyoncé does is NOT easy.

Tried to recreate BET 2007 and tell me why I was out of breath after the first verse. :priceless:

Had to give the mic to someone in the crowd while I rested during Jay’s middle verse.

I moved last month I don’t even have my rent for this month all the way together yet. Giselle needs to wait until like February/march like :jonny:

In truth she'll probably announce when they go on sale and the dates, then hopefully we will have a couple weeks. I think OTRII was announced in April and the tickets went on sale in June? If I'm wrong someone correct me.

The biggest I hope I currently have is the visuals are tied in to the announcement. I could honestly see them waiting until GRAMMYs weekend and doing it all at once

no no. OTR II was announced in March and went on sale less than a week later. as is the case for most tours -- you don't want to have to do a promo/ad run once more when the tickets go on sale. announcements and on-sale dates are usually close together.

the tour began in June, perhaps why you mixed that up.

I’ve been silent because the date is still not locked in. The end of January looks like it’ll be pretty busy again.

Ugh, bad timing. Why would she wait closer to the Super Bowl?

Might open up another credit card to get the tickets if she pulls some bullshit and announces this month. Forreal though atp she should wait until tax season most people spent all their money on Christmas :celestial5:

She’s not selling until after the Grammys. Heck she might announce the tour and wait a month or so until the actual sale. She loves to milk those tax refunds.

One thing I’m glad about is the solid single attention. No double singles, one for pop and one for urban or a US Single and an International one, just one strong punch at a time.

She could have released Cuff It a tad bit earlier or let Break My Soul keep going a bit longer on radio but it worked out. Now that she‘s gone back to the traditional single release we need to catch up with the visuals.

I’m getting excited for the set list. There really isn’t any space for filler now, no crazy rap dance breaks, no Jay Z, no repetitive Diva/Clique/RTA/Flawless/Feeling Myself/Sorry/Bow Down. Plus the production should be even better, all the damn costumes she has saved up from 2020 or what designers will do for her now. I wouldn’t mind if the set list changes a bit here and there, the costumes though I hope they rotate but follow a similar theme in each “act”.

Honey honey honey! Yummy yummy yummy! Sweet!

She needs to release this as a whole song. If she doesn’t mix this with Blow on tour we riot.  Nipple costume and all.

Guys, I think the acoustic act is gonna be amazing. I've been playing SOS by SZA today for the first time and I imagine an acoustic album from Beyoncé could be similar in mood and feel, if not in production. I would love it!

I'm here for it, but there'd need to be a twist. Either thematically or with the literal music.

I'm very invested in her evolving, doing new things, and putting a fresh twist on the expected. Which is probably why Rennie and The Gift are two of my all-time favorite projects from her. Even Lemonade (which is nearer the bottom for me) gets a thumbs up for putting her on new terrain (thematically).

So, IMO, pure R&B is only worth it if she's coming with a fresh angle. Otherwise, it's been there, done that. At least, at this stage of her career (see: still at the top).

As it is, I'd take the rumored Country/Southern project and/or a power-ballad-meets-folky vibe of Adele album or something purposefully throwback (like Motown-themed) from her before I'd take another outright R&B album. Especially R&B in 2023. SZA has that lane covered.

Rennie is such a joy because it purposefully drives in the opposite direction of this barely-there, underproduced, dear-diary, borderline spoken word R&B being peddled by Summer Walker and the girls. No need for Bey to go there and I fear it's the type of R&B she'd "need" to do if she really wanted to compete commercially in today's R&B climate. It's almost as if more full-bodied, robust production of songs like semi-modern R&B gems like Body Party, Ride or some of Bey's own songs like Dance For You, Love In This Club remix aren't given much love by radio and streamers nowadays.

So they could ask me for advice on how to achieve half of what MM&I does on her worst day? I'm available for consultation

The Summer slander. :rip:

I was thinking more Alternative R&B where some tracks are experimental leaning like Kelela or FKA (since she not checking for commercial success all like that). Then maybe some bops with whatever modern trendy sound in the next few years.
