Not doing traditional promo and leaving people wanting more was a strategy that gave her longevity and helped her sustain for the past 10 years. She's smart enough to know now that it won't work and she has to change it up. Now people are thinking its weird that she's doing things that are "beneath" her, when its really just basic work that every celeb does. Her mind. Lol, they acting as if she has a reality show on E! Okay, she lifted 3 fingers. Gtfoh!
LVP Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Im just thinking how she was teasing act ii as a country album for so long, even before Renaissance was released and she doesn’t tease act III. Remember what’s b7 and b8 (not b9). The cover “once and a future”, ivy park rodeo and the list goes on and on

Sometimes, I really think they should charge to write on social media because the girls really just be saying ANYTHING because they can lol. Personally, I love watching her snatch these bags. And not even in a stan "my fave is doing better than yours" way because her money ain't ours lol. But moreso from a business perspective. From the Netflix deal to Dubai to Verizon, these big all-at-once bags make the possibilities endless for what she's building at Parkwood. I really long for the day they do like a behind-the-scenes feature on her business moves. It'll probably be then that we find out that 1 of x deal paid for the entire visuals or how she took all of her profit from the tour movie to fund the production of her next big venture. Same way I can't wait to see where the tour doc lands on streaming, because that will see her flip the same source material for yet more $$$ (and I'm sure it didn't cost a lot to make). I've always felt the "business" of Beyonce (especially in the last 10 years) is equally as interesting to me as the artistry. Maybe even a little more so given how much of it is cloaked in mystery. But yeah, I'd just ignore the haters lol. 1

Starshine Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Oh the amount of yt millennial and boomers in the TikTok comments stanning Texas. They love her again. But we need the (yt) audience to BUY the album. 4
Navyboy20 Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I'm drunk listening to Texas Hold Em and it just dawned on me that this ***** really made a song about drinking to cope with climate change 3

I used to be a huge Katy fan at the time too and both Dark Horse and Drunk in Love performances got scrubbed and replaced with rehearsal uploads I was so annoyed at the time.

Still grateful for the whole thing regardless but its very unlikely that act iii is the film. All acts clearly have visuals to match, that would be odd. 1

It seems as if the rough drafts / demos / tracklists have been completed since 2020, and now they go back and add instrumentation and transitions, so writers still being allowed to submit songs makes me think more music is planned. - Mr. Randolph, the steel guitarist from "16 Carriages", was just asked back to California by Raphael Saadiq in that recent Rolling Stone (?) article to work on more B tracks. I might be misinterpreting this as new music and not sprucing up additional 2020 demos to be released, but I'm unsure. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/beyonce-country-songs-players-robert-randolph-rhiannon-giddens-1234967138/amp/ - James Fauntleroy also recently stated in a Billboard article that he has just recently worked with B, and it was after 2021. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.billboard.com/music/rb-hip-hop/james-fauntleroy-warmest-winter-interview-1235479219/amp/ 3
chaeyonce Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I never bought into the retirement thingy, not with 4 and not now. Although I'm not going to lie, retiring after a flawless trilogy of albums around reclaiming black genres would not be the worst thing. 2
Lovett Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I think #1 in the UK this week could actually happen. She's up to #7 on the Spotify artists chart for yesterday! I think we're going to see a big jump in streams for yesterday in the UK. 2

But retiring in 2-3 years at the age of 45 when music is her passion since she was a little girl?? A long hiatus maybe, but not retiring completely. Also, if we do get a movie for each act, it'll turn into a 3-hour convoluted mess and I'm afraid she'd look pretentious. Or maybe it could be a streaming event where each film releases every month or every two weeks... So it's not too much to go through in one sitting.

luxurious Posted February 17 Posted February 17 the fact that she’s not even in the top 10 on Todays top hits playlist too like wow. Like she barely scraped top 15 and it SMASHED. I know streams don’t define her but it’s nice to see her artistic choices doing well with the gp 6
