Obviously, there aren't much choices for her. Right now, I'm not feeling this song. She sounds great as usual. Everything else feels meh though. shake it out: ship to wreck > this > cosmic love for Moi. a very obvious choice that involved no braincells, lovely
Noah Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 Sugababes - Push The Button - ngl I was expecting to hate this but it’s actually a cute bop Fleur East - Mine - a bit generique Sugababes - About You Now - the other song from them was much better very basique All Saints - Pure Shores - gta classique it’s cute Lets Eat Grandma - Hot Pink - talented brilliant incredible showstopping spectacular etc. Clean Bandit - Symphony - a fun bop Florence + The Machine - Ship To Wreck - yaaas classic Amelia Lily - You Bring Me Joy - the vocals and production are like two different songs it just sounds off Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There - it is a song by the spice girls Steps - Heartbreak In This City - I don’t really like it Girls Aloud - On The Metro - a bit of a bop I think I remember this being sent in asc or sumn Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love - yaaas classic Disclosure - Magnets - have always loved this very sexy and cool Spice Girls - 2 Become 1- didn’t leave that much of an impression Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love - a bit of a forgotten classic and still sounds fresh Girls Aloud - Call The Shots - it’s just kind of there Christina Marie - I'm Coming Home To You - not a bad song just a bit of a snooze it has some cute vocal moments Cher Lloyd - Want U Back - an actual classic although it has aged a bit Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine? - yaaas love them Fleur East - Sax - much better than her other song kind of serving uptown funk knockoff Leona Lewis - Better In Time - yas really love this Florence + The Machine - Shake It Out - absolute unadulterated classic
ZORBIT Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 Spoiler Sugababes - Push The Button I enjoy the instrumental and pacing until the chorus. Chorus is missing that oomph this song was overall needing. I don’t like being edged Fleur East - Mine I enjoyed the production choices in the instrumental but nothing unique that attracts me to go back & listen Sugababes - About You Now Cute girl & the instrumental break was pleasant. Más o Menos All Saints - Pure Shores I liked the switch up after the bridge but feels dragged out, perdón Lets Eat Grandma - Hot Pink Love the production build-up & outro. It’s definitely not codswallop as some paint it to be Clean Bandit - Symphony I remember being initially surprised by Zara when I heard this. I occasionally bop to this Florence + The Machine - Ship To Wreck She’s aged to a bittersweet artist to me but this is more on the sweet side. Love her vocals here Amelia Lily - You Bring Me Joy The randomizer knows how to pace these songs actually, enjoyed this as much as Florence’s song honestly Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There I really enjoyed this & the harmonica solo was cute y outro>>> Steps - Heartbreak In This City This gives YouTuber group music, not a fanatico Girls Aloud - On The Metro Really enjoyed this & very satisfied with a EDM-eque bop Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love I don’t remember the instrumental slapping this hard; I enjoyed her dog days era, too bad they’re over Disclosure - Magnets This commercial song is alright. Not a fan of this instrumental tbh Spice Girls - 2 Become 1 Never heard this before but I like to believe they have stronger material to entice new listeners Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love I forgot the Swagger Jagger chanteuse dropped this. It’s not as obnoxious as I remembered Girls Aloud - Call The Shots It’s giving aerobics dance instructor workout class Christina Marie - I'm Coming Home To You This ballad is actually nice and the vocal riffs were pleasant Cher Lloyd - Want U Back This was such a kii listening with my sisters when we were younger. It’s aged bad but kind of a classic of hers Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine? A risk that actually is nice. The mixing could be tuned up a bit but es alright Fleur East - Sax This was decent until the chorus hit. I blame a certain white American artist for dating the use of instruments in a style like this because a different instrumental chorus would’ve been stellar but in the end, it’s puro poppycock perdon Leona Lewis - Better In Time Never go wrong with Leona. A very pleasant vocal performance Florence + The Machine - Shake It Out A Ceremonials classic, I do prefer No Light No Light but this exceptional nonetheless

ZORBIT Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 Reads mostly panned reviews now: You know hate makes waste
Kelp Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 Push the Button - shockingly liked this Mine - would’ve preferred one of her fun songs About You Now - Miranda outsold I’m sorry, i still really like the melody though Pure Shores - this is very UK (read: cheesy and boring) but I like the filter effect on the guitar at least Hot Pink - wtf is this we- Symphony - I find this a bit too generic Ship to Wreck - screaming at how terrible and timeless the chorus is but I love the rest You Bring Me Joy - this is SO generic fjdbdjsns I really don’t like. Sounds corporate Say You’ll Be There - this surprised me, I really enjoyed Heartbreak in the City - what’s with this round and Target commercial grocery store ass music On the Metro - fun and trashy! Cosmic Love - I love the harp and drums, such a fierce duo, Florences howling is kind of distracting Magnets - love Disclosure, this was a great choice 2 Becomes 1 - let me just say.... moki spilled. Um at least it stands out I suppose With Ur Love - forgot I knew this song, this era of Cher Lloyd was kind of the t*ts huh Call the Shots - Target commercial [74829] I’m Coming Home to You - not what I’d listen to on my own but I can recognize a good ballad!! Want U Back - she invented grunting, UH! So fun! R U Mine? - appreciate the risk, I think this is very cute Sax - my first choice, hate you. Anyways I absolutely adore this, perfect pop song! Better in Time - an absolute classic, Happy wishes! Shake It Out - one of my least faves by them tbh, sorry :( but better than a good deal of other stuff
PinkBox Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 Sugababes - Push The Button It's cute, I'm not like WERKKK but it was nice Fleur East - Mine Um ok... I don't really care for it, but it's not bad Sugababes - About You Now This was very cute, I liked it All Saints - Pure Shores This is such a snooze, not a fan sorry Lets Eat Grandma - Hot Pink This is... a lot for me. Not a fan but at least I wasn't bored Clean Bandit - Symphony Yes, this is a great song, I used to hear it a lot but never knew the title, what is was or who it was Florence + The Machine - Ship To Wreck It's cute, not a huge fan of Florence in general, so I'm not a huge fan but it's not terrible Amelia Lily - You Bring Me Joy It's kind of a bop, but also not very exciting or unique, it's okay!! Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There Very cute, a nice bop Steps - Heartbreak In This City The chorus is nice, it's cute Girls Aloud - On The Metro It's kind of a bop, pretty repetitive though Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love Another Florence song I'm not a fan of! Disclosure - Magnets Ok this was nice, I liked it! It was interesting but also not too much Spice Girls - 2 Become 1 It's giving me snooze, but there have been several, and this is the least bad of the snoozes Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love Exactly... this classic Girls Aloud - Call The Shots Eh... it's okay, but pretty forgettable Christina Marie - I'm Coming Home To You Ok period.... this was very beautiful Cher Lloyd - Want U Back yup!!! a classic Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine? It's okay... I guess it can be good to some, but this isn't my style sorry, try sending something more Celine next Fleur East - Sax Generic, but I still think it's very fun a bop, so!! Leona Lewis - Better In Time Another classic, EXACTLY Florence + The Machine - Shake It Out Damn ma, 3 Florence songs this round? Happy she's banned!! Do not care for this and all 3 songs are forgettable
smholiv Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 Quote Yes, this is a great song, I used to hear it a lot but never knew the title, what is was or who it was skdsjdf why is this so funny
Tom Vercetti Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 Sugababes - Push The Button: Not attached to this but it's fine. Fleur East - Mine: I actually prefer this over her other song. It's faceless but kinda bearable. Sugababes - About You Now: I kinda like this and the Miranda version. All Saints - Pure Shores: Recognizable. I use from time to time. Lets Eat Grandma - Hot Pink: Really like the production thanks to sophie. Wish the vocals were more appealing however. Clean Bandit - Symphony: hmm, could be worse I guess. Florence + The Machine - Ship To Wreck: My favorite out of her three entries. With that said, i'm still not really into her music. Amelia Lily - You Bring Me Joy: First time hearing this, it's decent. Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There: Better than wannabe. It's nice. Steps - Heartbreak In This City: Idk about this one. Girls Aloud - On The Metro: Don't mind this one. The bouncy production is a nice feature. Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love: Ehhhh Disclosure - Magnets: There's not many lorde songs that were released after this that I can say are better. I still really enjoy this. Spice Girls - 2 Become 1: I'm typically not into ballads but this is tolerable. Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love: The production is a little interesting, i'll say that much. Girls Aloud - Call The Shots: Decent~ Christina Marie - I'm Coming Home To You: This bored me. Cher Lloyd - Want U Back: Used to hate this, but it's not so bad anymore and I can see why some could call it catchy? I still don't like the grunts though. Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine?: I used to listen to them as a teen and this was my fave. Ranking this high for standing out. Fleur East - Sax: Nah I hate this Leona Lewis - Better In Time: Still haven't found a leona song that I liked. Florence + The Machine - Shake It Out: Also can't seem to appreciate this one.
Fruity Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 (edited) ~ GIRLS ALOUD ARE LEGENDS BTW ~ Spoiler Sugababes - Push The Button: oh we started off with a classic huh? Fleur East - Mine: this is alright but definitely just there and not like particularly camp or cute or fun like this round demanded but it's not horrible i guess! Sugababes - About You Now: honestly a bit basic but still really cute, and btw people unironically claiming Miranda's version is better with those vocals are 100% on CRACK! All Saints - Pure Shores: feels very spatial, like journeying out into the starry night to be somewhere I belong. The verse slowly ascending my body towards the sky, and the chorus propelling me into the unknown. From the bridge onwards, I have found my new home, and I am liberated from Earth. Lets Eat Grandma - Hot Pink: it's interesting, respect your choice but don't personally think it flows that well or appeals to me but it will probably be middling for the production value alone! Clean Bandit - Symphony: sorry but I always despised this sdjfdsfosdf that chorus is just like REALLLLLY annoying? and it lacks some of the gorgeous touches in earlier clean bandit productions, they def fell off after their debut! maybe neil was the talent after all x Florence + The Machine - Ship To Wreck: HMMMMMM kinda safe to send florence but also kind of a risk to send this particular track, it's a bit gorge and she served yeh.. Amelia Lily - You Bring Me Joy: legendary dated BOPPPPP Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There: feels simultaneously dated and timeless? love tbh, very cheesy but we stan Steps - Heartbreak In This City: okay this is kinda where I draw the line I'm sorry but... JFDOSFJOSD. It's fun I can't deny but them trying it in 2020 is more for the novelty factor more than anything... like this is the line where we've certainly crossed from cheesy to tacky.. Girls Aloud - On The Metro: https://vocaroo.com/1aYcPwTc75oO Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love: absolutely ****ing incredible and ethereal and magical and GORGEOUS Disclosure - Magnets: this collab was way better on paper than in reality.... like it's fine but it didn't exactly deliver/live up to potential. I'm not living like I should be. It just feels like the magic of both artists was kind of lost? A certain song that I was desperate to send last season would've swept x shame! Spice Girls - 2 Become 1: I remember when I first heard this song watching a compilation of UK Christmas #1s on a music video channel (if you're not aware the Christmas #1 used to be a really big cultural event in this country which lots of artists would compete for.. until X factor ruined it). Anyways even when I was like 7 I thought this was corny and awful and I'm afraid to say nothing has really changed.. Holler was right there.. A song I thought a certain Canadian would send.. Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love: never cared for it x Quite uninspired and not that fun Girls Aloud - Call The Shots: let me quote myself Christina Marie - I'm Coming Home To You: didn't expect there to be a song I hadn't heard before in this round. Can't say I'm impressed, in fact this is awful I found it difficult to sit through her wailing x Cher Lloyd - Want U Back: incredibly juvenile classic, I'm very much on board because at least it's self aware! Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine?: you took a risk.... and it was a good one! did NOT appreciate miss @clue reminding me of the trauma of submitting arctic monkeys in the VL6 finale and being panned tho ! x Fleur East - Sax: ehhhhhhhhh this is a gay classic here tbh but it's rly annoying to me jssofdosf. i'm sure you'll be fine tho ! x Leona Lewis - Better In Time: used to think this was gorgey, these days it's giving me slightly insipid and corny but still vaguely pretty x fun fact I used to be a Leona stan in the Spirit era and joined her website forum VERY embarrassing! Florence + The Machine - Shake It Out: honestly extremely well crafted, experimental, she is generally so gorgeous and talented and fagels is despicable for hating on her x ~ BRITISH BESTIES ~ Spoiler @Touch It @Kavish @Alena @Auburn @Noah @Tom Vercetti @Drifloon @Dessy @Taylucifer @luckystrike @kipperskipper @Billionaire @Not Like The Movies @Future Lover @K$Ellie @touya kinomoto @Zolvnski @Guero @Mr. Duff @PinkBox @Element @Psycho @Rotunda Edited September 9, 2021 by Fruity
