I stanned when @Touch Itsent Desire a few szns ago tho x

clue Posted September 7, 2021 Posted September 7, 2021 Spoiler SUGABABES - PUSH THE BUTTON Cute and bouncy. FLEUR EAST - MINE Literally any person could've sang this, so generic and not fun. I'm sorry. Rubbish. SUGABABES - ABOUT YOU NOW It's okay. Kinda really corny. ALL SAINTS - PURE SHORES Cute instrumental, but this is boring for me. LET'S EAT GRANDMA - HOT PINK A classic. One of SOPHIE's best productions. CLEAN BANDIT - SYMPHONY Still a really annoying song. FLORENCE + THE MACHINE - SHIP TO WRECK The chorus is Florence at her screamiest. It's a no from me. AMELIA LILY - YOU BRING ME JOY Cute euphoric chorus. SPICE GIRLS - SAY YOU'LL BE THERE One of my favorite songs from them. A complete classic. THE STEPS - HEARTBREAK IN THIS CITY Absolute smasha bruv. The chorus is GOLD. GIRLS ALOUD - ON THE METRO Oops... the LMFAO smash. Very cute. FLORENCE + THE MACHINE - COSMIC LOVE A classic. One of her best. DISCLOSURE - MAGNETS I've never cared about this. It's alright. SPICE GIRLS - 2 BECOME 1 This is really trite, but it's still a good classic. CHER LLOYD - WITH UR LOVE It's okay. Very generic. GIRLS ALOUD - CALL THE SHOTS CLASSIC. CHRISTINA MARIE - I'M COMING HOME TO YOU The "Broken-Hearted Girl" melody. Umm absolutely not. This hasn't got any flavor, mate. CHER LLYOD - WANT U BACK A classic, but no thank you. ARCTIC MONKEYS - R U MINE? One of the best songs on AM. FLEUR EAST - SAX Nope. LEONA LEWIS - BETTER IN TIME Corny as ****, but catchy and a classic. FLORENCE + THE MACHINE - SHAKE IT OUT Not one of my favorites from her. Spoiler @Touch It @Kavish @Alena @Auburn @Noah @Tom Vercetti @Drifloon @Dessy @Taylucifer @luckystrike @kipperskipper @Billionaire @Not Like The Movies @Future Lover @K$Ellie @touya kinomoto @Zolvnski @Guero @Mr. Duff @PinkBox @Element @Psycho @Rotunda
Rotunda Posted September 7, 2021 Posted September 7, 2021 Sugababes - Push The Button This is great. It has that 00s sound but is still fresh and nice. Fleur East - Mine This is a good track, but it sounds kinda faceless coming from her. Almost sounds like a cover of a song that was meant for Tinashe, K. Michelle, Kelly Rowland, or some other R&B act. I still use! Sugababes - About You Now Another great Sugababes pick. This has a nice nostalgic quality to it. All Saints - Pure Shores This is such a nice vibe. For some reason it's reminding me of Macy Gray's As Told By Ginger theme song and the Sinead O Connor song from the Rugrats movie. Regardless, it's a nice pick. The only thing I don't really care for is the bridge. Lets Eat Grandma - Hot Pink This kinda shook me cause I didn't know what to expect. It's kinda a serve, though I'll have to relisten to get a better feel for it. Clean Bandit - Symphony Great song. Would have preferred to here a British vocalist, but I can't fault you for being smart so great work. Florence + The Machine - Ship To Wreck Maybe I should revisit this album, cause I keep liking the songs y'all send from it. The way there's been no misses in this group so far. Amelia Lily - You Bring Me Joy I'm not sure how this will fall since everyone's delivered so far, but I like this! Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There Ngl I kinda prefer MO's version, but this is still a bop and a classic. Another correct choice. Steps - Heartbreak In This City This is another good song. There are specific parts that have me going "hmmm," but overall I like it. Girls Aloud - On The Metro It's no The Promise or The Loving Kind. The verses are kinda cringe, but the chorus kinda saves it. Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love Not one of my favorite Florence songs, but it's a good song. Disclosure - Magnets Yeah I can't be mad at this, it's a vibe. Spice Girls - 2 Become 1 I like the R&B influences on the track. I'm not sure how it'll fall but it's cute. Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love Oh wow I forgot about this song, I definitely used to blast this. It holds up well Girls Aloud - Call The Shots This isn't The Promise or The Loving Kind. It's not bad but doesn't really make me feel anything Christina Marie - I'm Coming Home To You Not me thinking you dug into the archives to bring out a classic, just for me to find out this song is from 2014. Idk how it'll rank against the more memorable songs here, but the vocals are immaculate. Cher Lloyd - Want U Back Oh wow I forgot about this song, I definitely used to blast this. It holds up well [2] Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine? I kinda hate how the vocalist is try ting to squeeze too many words into the lines here. I do like it sonically though. I'm going to relisten to it later, because I'm sure it'll sound better after I'm familiar with how it's structured. Fleur East - Sax I was literally bopping this the other day. Idk if you'll get dragged since the Ella Eyre song last round is similar and got panned, but I like it. I also heard this song on Love Island (which @Fruity may find humurous since they were talking about Love Island songs a round ago). Leona Lewis - Better In Time Idk how the girls will treat this, but it's a very pretty song. Florence + The Machine - Shake It Out Yes.
Touch It Posted September 7, 2021 Posted September 7, 2021 british people round Sugababes - Push The Button: this is cute and fun Fleur East - Mine: this was very nice Sugababes - About You Now: I hate this All Saints - Pure Shores: LOVEEEE this song, so pretty nostalgic and feel good Lets Eat Grandma - Hot Pink: some points are too noisy for me rn and it's hurting my head after the beauty of pure shores Clean Bandit - Symphony: meh I'm not into this type of music anymore Florence + The Machine - Ship To Wreck: not my favorite florence song but this is pretty solid Amelia Lily - You Bring Me Joy: this is cute! but I wouldn't listen to it again Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There: this is nice Steps - Heartbreak In This City: fun but im getting bored of the uk group genre idk if i will make it to the end Girls Aloud - On The Metro: this is fun Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love: YESSSSSSSSS BEAUTIFUL SONG. Staryu Posted September 7, 2021 Posted September 7, 2021 Sugababes - Push The Button This sounds better than I remember, a nice bop Fleur East - Mine Fleur was part of the last X Factor UK series I watched, she's talented, this song is a lot more subdued than Sax, but it's not bad. Sugababes - About You Now Miranda outsold, but this walked so she could run, points for that. All Saints - Pure Shores This is heavenly, peaceful, it makes me think of a gentle stream leading to a small waterfall in a sunny forest. Lets Eat Grandma - Hot Pink I've always loved this group's name, it's funny to me. I like the production of this song, I prefer Donnie Darko and Falling Into Me, but this is fine too x Clean Bandit - Symphony It's a little vanilla overall but I do like the chorus, Zara is cute. Florence + The Machine - Ship To Wreck I love the production and the verses on this song very much, the chorus is it's only downfall, a little shouty. Amelia Lily - You Bring Me Joy I was obsessed with this song years ago and I still love it now, I also loved Amelia's story arc on X Factor, she was an underdog and easy to root for. Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There Probably my 2nd favorite Spice Girls song Steps - Heartbreak In This City This isn't bad, they kinda remind me of ABBA. Girls Aloud - On The Metro THIS BOPPPPPPPPPPPPPP :cherry: Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love This song is one of my faves, period. Disclosure - Magnets One of Lorde's best songs, there's just something cool about it. Spice Girls - 2 Become 1 A hymn, a classic, a love song. Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love This song is cute, I liked it more when I was younger, it's still cute tho Girls Aloud - Call The Shots This and On the Metro are my 2 favorite GA songs, so I'm eating this round. Christina Marie - I'm Coming Home To You This is pretty, never heard of her before, would probably rank higher if there weren't so many classics I loved here Cher Lloyd - Want U Back I always felt this song was charming, she sounds kinda like an immature chav but in an endearing way. Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine? AM have never been for me, like Radiohead. At least you have Clue <3 Fleur East - Sax A fun bop the female Bruno Mars Leona Lewis - Better In Time A classic, Leona's first era was great. Florence + The Machine - Shake It Out An uplifting anthem, I listen to it to shake out my depression :praise:
Psycho Posted September 7, 2021 Posted September 7, 2021 Sugababes - Push The Button: Banger(s and mash) Fleur East - Mine: Generic and not a standout for this round Sugababes - About You Now: Dr. Luke classic All Saints - Pure Shores: I never heard this song before y'all started sending it in these Games, it's a very nice Ray Of Light reject Lets Eat Grandma - Hot Pink: Clean Bandit - Symphony: I used to love this but it's kind of aged a bit and gotten stale. Rather Be was also right there which is timeless Florence + The Machine - Ship To Wreck: She kinda doesn't have any bad songs huh? (except for that last album) This is excellent Amelia Lily - You Bring Me Joy: This would have gone off in like 2012, now not so much Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There: Kinda their best huh Steps - Heartbreak In This City: It's... whatever Girls Aloud - On The Metro: This dated banger always used to come on my Spotify autoplay Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love: It's rlly good but prob my least fave of her songs here. Still will be high in my ranking Disclosure - Magnets: A jam Spice Girls - 2 Become 1: Cheesy Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love: Umm... no. You could have sent Sirens or Superhero or Alone With Me Girls Aloud - Call The Shots: Pop excellence Christina Marie - I'm Coming Home To You: Her voice is really nice, it's giving 90s Mariah. Very nice Cher Lloyd - Want U Back: Cringy classic nostalgic bop Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine?: The only men I would have accepted are Years & Years sorry Fleur East - Sax: Commercial music. It's giving Lizzo but in 2015 Leona Lewis - Better In Time: Good song Florence + The Machine - Shake It Out: Winner.
