Guero Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Olivia Rodrigo - happier I don’t really care for her music at all, but this one was alright. The lyrics are a little atrocious, but it’s a given considering who her idol is. Ariana Grande - better off I love Mrs. Gomez, and I do enjoy this song, but it’s not something I go back to too often. Brandy - Angel In Disguise http://abload.de/img/33tqeeqd3jin.gif Lady Gaga - Monster A little dated now but this is still a cute bop. I hope she starts to do coke before studio sessions again. Sky Ferreira - 24 Hours I’ve never listened to any of her songs, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I didn’t think her voice would be that deep. I liked it enough, but it went on a little too long for me. Cher - Bad Love Not going to lie - I was totally expecting to drag this but then the song really started going and I found myself bopping a little? I- Ariana Grande - R.E.M. I love this song so much, I’m not even sorry. I’m glad Scooter was digging through Beyoncé’s trash and had her sing this so it wouldn’t go to waste. Britney Spears - Breathe On Me This was kind of sexy… I can see the Supernatural shipping edits in my head as I listen. I just wish it went somewhere. Bebe Rexha - Death Row Yes you are. Rina Sawayama - Love Me 4 Me The lyrics are a little corny, but this was one of the few songs I liked from her album. I love that she made an 80’s song in the 20’s sound so effortless. Tinashe - I Can See The Future One of my favorites from 333. One of my favorites from Tinashe in general actually. Beyoncé - Dance for You Now THIS is how you make a 6 min+ song. Amazing and one of her best. Ariana Grande - bad idea I used to love this song sm when it came out but now I don’t really go back to it much. It’s still a bop though. Sevdaliza - Wallflower Umm, hmm… yeah. Tinashe - The Chase Not my favorite off the album if I’m being honest. Lady Gaga - Dance In The Dark This used to be my favorite Lord Gaga song back before she lost the plot. It’s still great to this day. Tinashe - Let Me Down Slowly I love everything about this song. It’s in my top 3 from the album. Rina Sawayama - Akasaka Sad This was not one of the aforementioned songs that I liked from her album. I kind of like the beat but the song overall just bored me. Selena Gomez - Vulnerable Doesn’t she have a song that sounds similar to this already? It was just okay for me - kind of forgettable. Carly Rae Jepsen - Gimmie Love I have not listened to a Carly Rae song that I liked - just add this to the list. Way too repetitive and boring to me.

Auburn Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Olivia Rodrigo - Happier I fear that this is just not cutting it this round. Ariana Grande - Better Off a “recent” Ariana song I actually like, but it hasn’t fared too well I fear Brandy - Angel In Disguise what is this classic Lady Gaga - Monster one of my favorite gaga songs yas Sky Ferreira - 24 Hours still waiting for her to come back and serve more talent like this Cher - Bad Love a risk, but ultimately I’m not sure it paid off, extra points for anti-ageism agenda tho Ariana Grande - R.E.M. “does this end?” Britney Spears - Breathe On Me it’s perfection Bebe Rexha - Death Row this would be good if she didn’t sing it with her voice Rina Sawayama - Love Me 4 Me very cute Tinashe - I Can See The Future naurrrrr Beyoncé - Dance For You Ariana Grande - Bad Idea love the outro, the rest of the song is whatever Sevdaliza - Wallflower interesting… it’s not strong enough against the rest of the round I think Tinashe - The Chase excellent Lady Gaga - Dance in the Dark oh nooooo I really like this song but it was a single Tinashe - Let Me Down Slowly it’s her weakest song this round but still great, kinda disappointed no one sent an Aquarius or SFY track Rina Sawayama - Akasaka Sad this song is stupid and I stand by this opinion since the first time I heard it Selena Gomez - Vulnerable best song on the album, so UNLIKE what others are saying I think you made a great choice Carly Rae Jepsen - Gimmie Love it’s great, still fresh 6 years later

Kavish Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 ⸸ Kavish ⛧ Kritiques ⸸ ~ Olivia Rodrigo – Happier Like last round, the first entry sounds like a non-Christmas Christmas-sounding song. It's whimsical and melodious. Makes me think of happy things like cookies, firelit chimneys, and my past self. Ariana Grande - Better Off There is a dreamlike aspect to it that is alluring, like resting in a haze after the world has crumbled and finding comfort in the sunset, knowing that the worst is over. Brandy - Angel In Disguise I question the one-minute intro because we would have understood the story even without it, so it feels unnecessarily long. I like the contrast between the clear verses and the breezy chorus. Lady Gaga – Monster There is an 80s tenebrous feel to it that draws me in, like preying on the innocent and biting their flesh too hard, and as the blood drips from my mouth, I normalise the behaviour by playing this cannibalism anthem in my mind. Sky Ferreira - 24 Hours It sounds like red-lit backrooms where it smells of sin and leather. Once I am tied on the swing, the synth-filled "for 24 hours, you're still mine" echoes through my master's speaker, and I jubilate to the notion of impending pain and pleasure. Cher - Bad Love The song blends right in with her other 70s disco songs, so it's not bad, but it's nothing special either. I appreciate the rhythm and her voice. Ariana Grande – R.E.M. It's very hypnotherapeutic and puts me under Ariana's playful trance. It's no surprise that it was initially meant for Queen B. The Elite definitely infused subliminal mind-control triggers in the song, meant to sedate the population after too many people were waking up during the mid-2010s. Britney Spears - Breathe On Me Sultry and steamy. I like the trip hop influences, like Portishead gone sexy. Bebe Rexha - Death Row The shaky voice in the verses is a choice and the chorus is shouty, but that is okay. Bebe Rexha won't give up. Her career was built on failures and not following the mold. She won't stop. She never has and never will. She still believes in this song. And she still will push. No matter what. Rina Sawayama - Love Me 4 Me An interesting fusion of genres that doesn't get overbearing, so good job to Rina for being able to manage that. Tinashe - I Can See The Future The "oh I, oh I" ad-libs and outro add a much needed oomph to the average-but-chill song. Beyoncé - Dance For You This song is a seductive show that commands attention and I surrender to its charm. Ariana Grande - Bad Idea The "Ari-chan" and "a-ha" parts are cute and the song is decent until the slowed-down outro. This pitched effect is done to every song on YouTube, so I am not sure why there was a need for it to be done officially with this song. Maybe to stay true to the theme of bad ideas. Sevdaliza – Wallflower I feel like I am not high enough to experience this trip in all its glory. Would definitely be a consciousness-altering episode with the right hallucinogens. I still vibed though, so let me add this to my "Mushroom: The Room Without Walls" playlist. Tinashe - The Chase It has a "complete" feel to it, like Tinashe at her creative peak. Well crafted song. Lady Gaga - Dance in the Dark Sounds ambitious and truly encapsulated the essence of Gaga back then. An anthem that makes you embrace your nyctophilia, like returning home in the morning and knowing you'll get grounded, but at least you did it in the dark. Tinashe - Let Me Down Slowly The production is the best aspect of the song. The vocal delivery and melody is nice, but nothing to write home about. Rina Sawayama - Akasaka Sad Halloweeny and clunky, but in an entertaining way. She really excels in blending styles and sounds. Selena Gomez – Vulnerable The bridge – which sounds like drums and tambourines - truly elevates the song, which in general is still cute. Carly Rae Jepsen - Gimmie Love Good production and the song feels like a warm blanket. The verses are dreamy, the chorus catchy, and the bridge adds an engaging layer. ~
mokitsu Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 Another really hard round to rank. Great choices all around ? Spoiler Olivia Rodrigo - Happier: actually like this moment a lot in the album and how it contributes to its narrative; it's still bitter and scornful but there's a glimpse of acceptance and even appreciation for the other woman. sonically i think it stands out as well with a more classic 60s waltz sound. very cute! Ariana Grande - Better Off: another sonic standout in its respective album and a necessary breather. really love the lyrics and sentiment, i think it's one of those few times where ariana is just completely vulnerable and it's emotional to hear. Brandy - Angel In Disguise: the song that made me want to get into brandy tbh. love the spoken word part and how it dark and seductive it is, despite the lyrical content. it's kinda giving me lilith demon sex witch energy and i love it. not among my favorites here though. Lady Gaga - Monster: just.... so played out and tacky. can't listen to her sober without wanting to commit hate crimes. Sky Ferreira - 24 Hours: love how she tiptoes the line between synthpop diva and grunge punk rock baddie effortlessly. this is a pretty standard 80s throwback song, but it's so cool it's impossible not to love. Cher - Bad Love: very unmemorable in a round of songs i love. Ariana Grande - R.E.M.: it's so funny that bey's version leaked and they're nearly identical you can see how they gave the song a whole new spin based on their delivery and personality alone. anyway this kinda veers on the boring side but at the same time it's really hypnotic, it has a purpose and it's executed flawlessly - i think it works better in the album context though Britney Spears - Breathe On Me: genius song and great entry. i'm a sucker for this type of aquatic electronic 2000s futuristic cyberpop production - which in itself is great in this song - and when you add britney moaning and whispering about oral it's nothing short of euphoric. Bebe Rexha - Death Row: this album is really hated on and i actually love it (and never cared for bebe one second in my life before)? this is one of its best offerings and i'm glad it was sent even though you'll probably have to fight for your life. i live for her shaky weird delivery on the verses and how it explodes in the chorus; one of my fav bands MCR and it reminds me of their campy extravagant era of music when they put out The Black Parade. really cool song. Rina Sawayama - Love Me 4 Me: soooooo corny and her voice is beyond unbearable in this song. someone unplug her nose please. Tinashe - I Can See The Future: not one of my favorites here but a solid choice regardless. the rap verses are really cool and i also love the strings in the background. interesting song, doesn't do much for me. Beyoncé - Dance For You: everything has been said; great choice. Ariana Grande - Bad Idea: ARI-CHAN is so funny one of the best songs in this album - although that's not saying much - i like the trap-pop production and the verses are pretty cool. it kinda gets annoying and the outro is just unnecessary. Sevdaliza - Wallflower: hate this pretentious hag and her boring music. Tinashe - The Chase: a POWER ballad! a new sound for Tinashe while still fundamentally her, loaded with her personality and musical mannerisms. Can be a bit too much but it works for me. Lady Gaga - Dance in the Dark: trash Tinashe - Let Me Down Slowly: hmmm absolutely. i'll disagree with some of the judges and say this is my fave Tee song here. absolutely love the UK garage influenced production and how it progresses. i'd say it's a complex beat for a singer and i absolutely love how she picked the melodies to go on top of it. Rina Sawayama - Akasaka Sad: much better than the other rina song; quite extra, clarence did a few extra lines and worked his magic in the studio cuz this beat is so chaotic but it really works, especially paired with the vulnerable lyrics about her origins and family and state of mind - really a stunner. Selena Gomez - Vulnerable: absolutely loved this album last year. is its unnecessary hate slowing down?? i hope so!!!! this is really one of the best songs there - it lacks the punch of other songs here but it's still a really cute moment, and i love the sentiment. Carly Rae Jepsen - Gimmie Love: her best song. period. this encapsulates everything that i love about carly - naive, sweet, bubbly, fun and with a master's degree in pop songwriting. Staryu Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 Spoiler Olivia Rodrigo - Happier Very pleasant song Ariana Grande - Better Off It's cute and chill Brandy - Angel In Disguise I'm not familiar with this Brandy song but she sounds great on this album, the teardrop sound effects tho Lady Gaga - Monster Gaga's best era, love this song Sky Ferreira - 24 Hours Top 3 from that NTMT Cher - Bad Love What a random choice kind of a bop tho a bit too long tho also, gl pb Ariana Grande - R.E.M. This really grew on me Britney Spears - Breathe On Me I love Britney, I love ITZ, I love this song, it's sexy Bebe Rexha - Death Row It's one of the cuter songs on that album but, still don't love it Rina Sawayama - Love Me 4 Me One of my faves from Rina Tinashe - I Can See The Future Beyoncé - Dance For You Bey's best album? Perhaps. Love her vocals on this. Ariana Grande - Bad Idea A slight bop don't love the chorus Sevdaliza - Wallflower This is interesting. Gives me dark artsy vibes. Tinashe - The Chase Might be my fave from 333, something about the "no I never did that no I never did that, no I never will" hits just right Lady Gaga - Dance in the Dark Another Gaga classic from her best era Tinashe - Let Me Down Slowly Chill smooth bop, really like the beat Rina Sawayama - Akasaka Sad Element always pushing this song on us I like the part she says akasaka sad, I guess I'll be sad Selena Gomez - Vulnerable Top 3 of Selena's discography Carly Rae Jepsen - Gimmie Love Lucky for you, I stan Carly, unlike lots of these haters

PinkBox Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 Olivia Rodrigo - Happier It was cute, I expected worse, not really my thing though and the lyrics are cringey to me Ariana Grande - Better Off It's fine... I don't really care for it though, nothing exciting but not beautiful either Brandy - Angel In Disguise This was cute too, I liked the vibe of the song, not blown away, but I liked it! Lady Gaga - Monster A bop.... we love to see it Sky Ferreira - 24 Hours Cute! Wouldn't add this to my playlist, I got kinda bored of it after 2 minutes, but it's nice Cher - Bad Love Wait this disco bop... gl to whoever sent this Ariana Grande - R.E.M. I don't like this at all and you should feel ashamed for sending this, it doesn't go anywhere at all Britney Spears - Breathe On Me Omg I'm hard, exactly... V sexy and great Bebe Rexha - Death Row This is.... an inch resting choice! Her voice is... not very pleasant in this Rina Sawayama - Love Me 4 Me Ok I like this, definitely in the upper half, not too generic but also not too wtf is this Tinashe - I Can See The Future It's an okay choice, it's a bit too... the same level of energy throughout the entire song and repetitive Beyoncé - Dance For You This is a pretty good song, I like it a lot, great choice, it didn't even feel like 6 mins!! Ariana Grande - Bad Idea I like some parts of this, but overall, it's not really something I'd go back and listen to (especially that outro... was that really necessary) Sevdaliza - Wallflower I think my IQ isn't high enough to understand this Tinashe - The Chase Very cute, I liked this one too! Much better than the other Tinashe song Lady Gaga - Dance in the Dark I kinda always thought this was overrated. It's a good song, but that's kind of it Tinashe - Let Me Down Slowly It's pretty forgettable to me, not bad, but not great, kinda whatever Rina Sawayama - Akasaka Sad This was really... different and I really liked it tbh. Would I listen to it again? idk, but on first listen, it kept my attention and I was captivated, good job!! Selena Gomez - Vulnerable Hm... I enjoyed this as well! Nice job, loved the overall vibe of the song Carly Rae Jepsen - Gimmie Love I don't really stan Carly, but this was a really cute song, the 1-2-3 punch of these 3 last songs, we like to see it (I don't like this song THAT much though, don't get me wrong!!)

Sevdaliza - Wallflower this is art. its different. it might be for everyone but its not the worst of the group! would've loved for it to be like only singing but it has some cute moments Tinashe - The Chase whew this slaps a bit tbh its not really my top 3 from the album but its still a great song and its a lot better than so many songs from this round so i think you should be fine but that maybe because i like the song!!! Lady Gaga - Dance in the Dark oh this is so much better than monster! at first, i was like eh.. okay-ish but then it kinda grew on me a bit actually a very good one too. so yea, it might take some time for me but when its right, its right Tinashe - Let Me Down Slowly yea this is the worst tinashe in this round.. the song never grows on me and its still a bit on the meh side now and with lots of songs that i enjoyed, this might be ranked low so im sorry in advance Rina Sawayama - Akasaka Sad the background story in this song is actually heartbreaking! its a big bop tho and the production is so interesting a better rina choice in this round and a very good choice too Selena Gomez - Vulnerable this is actually cute and pretty chill bop. i didnt expect to like this submission as much as i do rn whew it doesnt go off that hard compared to other songs but its still a lot better than many songs, yea! Carly Rae Jepsen - Gimmie Love love love love LOVE. this song is so underrated and it deserves more praise tbh. its so nostalgia and its also so emotional in some way and i have nothing but love for this song, thank YOU! another cute round i think, great job everyone Spoiler @Kavish @touya kinomoto @Psycho @Alena @Dessy @Noah @Element @Auburn @ZORBIT @Not Like The Movies @kipperskipper @Mr. Duff @Rotunda @K$Ellie @Guero @Tom Vercetti @Touch It @Drifloon @PinkBox @luckystrike

Beyoncé - Dance For You now this is 6 minutes long but it doesnt feel that long which is great.. bey always serves it, its true. a great submission and it should be awarded!!!! Ariana Grande - Bad Idea another great song yes :minho: tbh i think this could do it without that outro but people could argue that the outro is great for me i think its great but i wish it doesn't have that ya know! love the switch up tho and i enjoyed this submission a lot. Carly Rae Jepsen - Gimmie Love love love love LOVE. this song is so underrated and it deserves more praise tbh. its so nostalgia and its also so emotional in some way and i have nothing but love for this song, thank YOU! another cute round i think, great job everyone Hide contents @Kavish @touya kinomoto @Psycho @Alena @Dessy @Noah @Element @Auburn @ZORBIT @Not Like The Movies @kipperskipper @Mr. Duff @Rotunda @K$Ellie @Guero @Tom Vercetti @Touch It @Drifloon @PinkBox @luckystrike Ty
