It's lowkey better than most of Folklore hihi. Ok the screaming and the end was... not cute x Britney Spears - I Wanna Go: Marshmello and Demi Lovato - Ok Not To Be Ok: Tired of Marshmello's ass... cute bop tho and one of Demo's better sings from 2020 Janet Jackson - Together Again: It's the classic Miley Cyrus - WTF Do I Know: It's the rock bop Bee Gees - Stayin Alive: This is played out Dua Lipa, Angéle - Fever: I've got a fever indeed Miley Cyrus - Breakout: I'll give you a cute few points since you're prob gonna need it Charli XCX - forever: This was my first choice but I switched because I found out 4 of the judges hate her excellent sing tho Ariana Grande - breathin’: Breathin' indeed love this sing from back when she was good David Archuleta - Just Breathe: Pls fiercE Dua Lipa - Don’t Start Now: The reach lemme tank Open Mike Eagle - Everything Ends Last Year: Ehm at least it fits theme Chloe x Halle - Lonely: Electric Youth - Innocence: Solid synthpop Madonna - Like a Virgin: I mean it's a bop but not one of my fave singles from her, and how does it fit the theme Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out: Ugly sing Covid caused everyone to avoid sex hence becoming new born virgins
Noah Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Little Mix - These Four Walls - fits the theme well. don't know if i would listen again but it's cute
Navyofbadgals Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 GROUP A Spoiler Tame Impala - On Track - ahh yes one of the best tracks on this otherwise underwhelming album. I like this Billie Eilish - bury a friend - ahh she was in her Yeezus bag with this one, I actually like this (even tho this is such a dark choice PLS HAIM - I Know Alone - never really vibed with this one even tho I like the album idk idk, I guess there is worse here The Manhattan Transfer - Nothin' You Can Do About It - It's fine? Not really my thing but it's decent enough I guess Startisan - Quit or Run - ehm no ma'am.. also very inch resting choice cause I really don't see how f word trl would eat this up ehm Solange - Losing You - a cute lil moment yes Foxes - Friends in the Corner - this does nothing for me ehm Taylor Swift - Cardigan - folklore never really clicked for me but this is fine it's a cute song although it doesn't blow me away, also not sure why it's here but fine ig Lorde - A World Alone - are we ready for the convo that PH aged better than Melodrama? or.. anyways this is good Marina - Solitaire - this would've been a serve if it was like half as long, but it starts to drag for me a bit Janet Jackson - I Get Lonely - the auburn pandering oh my.. anyways this is cute but doesn't do a lot for me Mitski - Nobody - ABSOLUTE classic, still as AMAZING as day one YUPPPP Little Mix - These Four Walls - not this corny ass snooze coming after Mitski ehm... try again TWICE - Better - Well it was enjoyable at least and this group has so many okay but not that interesting songs so I'll take this I guess? Katy Perry - Cry About It Later - the entirety of Smile is turrible and this one is no exception x maybe the others will like/love this but it's not for me x Kylie Minogue - Celebrate You - cute lil bop LOONA - Star - not really into this GROUP B Spoiler Phoebe Bridgers - I Know The End - not fully sold on the hype behind this girl but this was lovely x Britney Spears - I Wanna Go - this aged a bit but it's still a nice guilty pleasure I guess? it's cute x Marshmello and Demi Lovato - Ok Not To Be Ok - absolutely not, and not just because the artists are terrible. The production on this is BAD, demi's vocal delivery is BAD, this song is BAD. I'm gonna pass Janet Jackson - Together Again - UGHHH absolute timeless classic Miley Cyrus - WTF Do I Know - this already kinda aged for me but it's still cute ig x there's better on the album Bee Gees - Stayin Alive - it feels weird for me to hate on a classic and the chorus of this is amazing.. but overall it doesn't really do that much for me tbh, Dua Lipa, Angéle - Fever - YUPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP THIS CLASSIC; I love everything about it, the airy synthy beats that just scream europop to the unexpected but perfect combination of english and french. The interplay between Dua's lower range to Angèle higher, more airy vocals.. it is THE moment c'mon now yall. No wonder that this has been #1 in belgium for 2+ months now and is also dula's first french #1 Miley Cyrus - Breakout - hmm yeah imma pass on this, this is very dated Charli XCX - forever - the clue pandering ehm chile.. hope it works out because this to me is.. noise Ariana Grande - breathin’ - this might've aged a biT but it's cute enough IG David Archuleta - Just Breathe - I'm just lost.. as to.. who you're pandering to or how you think was gonna end.. well? This song would be a hard sell for ATRLers even with female vocals on it so like.. yeah.. I'm gonna pass Dua Lipa - Don’t Start Now - YUPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP THIS GRAMMY NOMINATED CLASSICCCC!! The way this SET a trend and was extremely ahead of the curve the way this was deemed an extremely risky rihlease by her manager but they decided to give it a chance anyway It's the amazingly dry bass, with the slight elements of nu-disco sprinkled throughout the track and I esp love how it feels like a spiritual sequel to her former biggest hit NR. Hasn't aged for me since day one, absolutely AMAZING Open Mike Eagle - Everything Ends Last Year - well I appreciate the risk.. but that's about it. props for like fitting this theme perfectly tho ig Chloe x Halle - Lonely - very cute Electric Youth - Innocence - this was cute! I liked it Madonna - Like a Virgin - this random ass choice anyways let me be controversial and say I was never a big fan of htis Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out - this sounds so cringy now or maybe it was always cringy either way idk about this one ma'am! Noah Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Katy Perry - Cry About It Later - a fun bop gets a bit repetitive tho
Noah Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 LOONA - Star - a cute bop. also a bit of a reach for the theme

clue Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 GROUP A Spoiler Tame Impala - On Track One of the more dull tracks from the GROWER album of the century, but this is nice. It's definitely still Kevin on autopilot, though. Billie Eilish - Bury a Friend You are going to HELLLLL for sending this . But anyway, it fits and it's one of the songs I liked from the album so cheers. HAIM - I Know Alone Girl we are ASCENDING. One of the smartest choices in the entire batch and a beautiful song on top of that. Really great. The Manhattan Transfer - Nothin' You Can Do About It It fits the theme. Startisan - Quit or Run This is pretty godawful and generic. But it does fit. Solange - Losing You Dev Hynes had to have had a hand in this. It's cute. Not super interesting, though. Foxes - Friends in the Corner Basic but definitely fits the round in a pretty perfect way. Taylor Swift - Cardigan Gorgeous soon-to-be SOTY winner, but this doesn't fit the round and I'm mad that you WASTED it this early. Lorde - A World Alone Gorgeous song absolutely soul-crushing TBH!!! It fits perfectly. MARINA - Solitaire Isn't good but it fits so that's something! The reverb baby....... THEE Janet Jackson - I Get Lonely Mitski - Nobody It fits, but I still don't like it all these years later. Little Mix - These Four Walls I thot we agreed that they didn't exist before Get Weird. TWICE - Better Not my type of thing. Katy Perry - Cry About It Later Bop. And it fits really nicely. Kylie Minogue - Celebrate You One of the weaker tracks from this album. But it fits enough for me. LOONA - Star WAITTTTTT. A bop. Does it fit? Nope. GROUP B Spoiler Phoebe Bridgers - I Know the End The only song I cared about from this album. Congrats!!! That outro is epic. Britney Spears - I Wanna Go A classic that immediately came to mind when we discussed the round. MARSHMELLO - OK Not to Be OK Basic, but not really in a fun way. Ofc it fits the theme, but it's not a great song. THEE Janet Jackson - Together Again Another perfect Janet selection. Miley Cyrus - WTF Do I Know Complete bop from one of the best pop albums of 2020. Doesn't fit the round for me at all, though, sorry!!!! Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive Very annoying song, but it's clever for the round so major points for that. Dua Lipa - Fever I'm screaming @ this choice. Very clever and it's a cute little bop. Miley Cyrus - Breakout It fits, but it's turrible. Charli XCX - Forever One of my favorite singles of 2020. KINDA feels more like a breakup song, but knowing the background and knowing the concept of the album, it fits 100%. Ariana Grande - Breathin Absolutely fits, but it hasn't really aged super well for me. David Archuleta - Just Breathe Very bad and generic, but it fits. Dua Lipa - Don't Start Now Future ROTY winner. Well.. the "don't show up, don't come out" part is there. I'm not mad. Open Mike Eagle - Everything Ends Last Year I didn't like the song, but it 10000% fits. Chloe x Halle - Lonely Not super interesting for me, feels like Diet Kelela. It fits, though. Electric Youth - Innocence It's a yikes from me, I'm so sorry. Madonna - Like a Virgin I screamed. Not really my favorite Madonna song, but it fits. Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out Classic. Sanguine Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Tame Impala - On Track: It’s okay. He has better songs Billie Eilish - bury a friend: BUT PLSSSS HAIM - I Know Alone: Future classic The Manhattan Transfer - Nothin' You Can Do About It: Meh Startisan - Quit or Run: Absolutely NOT Solange - Losing You: SOTD 2010’s it’s true Foxes - Friends in the Corner: Don’t really use Foxes anymore but cute song Taylor Swift - Cardigan: ? Lorde - A World Alone: One of her best songs Marina - Solitaire: I’ve never really known how I feel about this but the hook and production are good I guess so I’ll rank it decently Janet Jackson - I Get Lonely: Fine Mitski - Nobody: Overrated but still pretty good Little Mix - These Four Walls: TWICE - Better: One of their worst songs Katy Perry - Cry About It Later: This song gets a little worse every time I listen to it ksdjsk. It’s alright Kylie Minogue - Celebrate You: This was initially a least fave of mine on Disco but wait it’s kinda hitting now LOONA - Star: Best song on this boring EP

Hug Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Tame Impala - On Track Like okay it's fine...very...throwback? I guess. Idk like it's fine for the sound it's going for x Billie Eilish - bury a friend To anyone who had a to bury a friend in 2020, I'm sorry. :shy: HAIM - I Know Alone There are both parts I like and don't like about this and it's like 50/50 love the way you split it. The Manhattan Transfer - Nothin' You Can Do About It IDK how this is going to do with judges/contestants, but personally I like this. It's kinda cheesy, but it's an endearing kind. Startisan - Quit or Run This is not for me I don't think! Not my sound. Solange - Losing You The production in this always sent me. The random screams. Me every time someone comes within 6 feet of me and they're not wearing a mask. Foxes - Friends in The Corner So this is what this Foxes girl's solo music is like...I'll stick with Clarity. Taylor Swift - cardigan The only song that isn't peace or hoax that I would listen to outside the context of the album x Lorde - A World Alone Bananis...and avacadis... MARINA - Solitaire Is fine. Production kinda pretty. Janet Jackson - I Get Lonely Obviously an incredibly solid track that fits the theme there's nothing else to be said here. Mitski - Nobody Ew this chorus djsbhklads Little Mix - These Four Walls Pop ballads are just NOT for me. They can't get any emotion out of me no matter how hard they try. TWICE - BETTER This skyrocketing to the top of my list mhm Katy Perry - Cry About It Later A really good song yup! Potentially in my Smile trinity x Kylie Minogue - Celebrate You One of my least faves on DISCO, but I don't think anything on the album is actively awful so x LOONA - Star Right to the top based on principle (also this is better than Voice x)
Mr. Duff Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Phoebe Bridgers - I Know The End - cool Britney Spears - I Wanna Go - bop Marshmello and Demi Lovato - Ok Not To Be Ok - amazing bop Janet Jackson - Together Again - amazing bop! Miley Cyrus - WTF Do I Know - love it Bee Gees - Stayin Alive - whew classic Dua Lipa, Angéle - Fever - mmm okay Miley Cyrus - Breakout - wow old Miley, not bad Charli XCX - forever - pass Ariana Grande - breathin’ - best song ehre David Archuleta - Just Breathe - good song Dua Lipa - Don’t Start Now - overrated, but bop Open Mike Eagle - Everything Ends Last Year - hmm, intriguing, like it Chloe x Halle - Lonely - no Electric Youth - Innocence - cute Madonna - Like a Virgin - one of Madonna's cringy songs Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out - perfect!
smholiv Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Group A Spoiler Tame Impala - On Track - Not bad, fits the theme but doesn't stand out to me among the sea of Tame Impala songs that are more or less... the same Billie Eilish - bury a friend - Pleaseeeeee. This is such a great song, moody etc but still a bop - I love it! HAIM - I Know Alone - Perfect song for the theme of this round, also one of the stand outs from their album. The Manhattan Transfer - Nothin' You Can Do About It - I don't like this at all. Startisan - Quit or Run - Not much that I like here, kind of generic Solange - Losing You - It was a bop back in the day but I think Solange herself had better you could've chosen (that would've fit better too). Foxes - Friends in the Corner - I think this is kind of sterile/basic but not bad. Taylor Swift - Cardigan - Amazing song but it doesn't quite capture the theme as well as other songs from the same album. Lorde - A World Alone - Makes sense, great song- I feel like this album's suburbia melancholy kind of works perfect for 2020 actually Marina - Solitaire - Not much happens here that engages me. Janet Jackson - I Get Lonely - Please this is not only perfect for the theme, its a genuinely fantastic song - winner! Mitski - Nobody - I mean I guess. It's good enough but I don't have the patience for Mitski! Little Mix - These Four Walls - Just boring TWICE - Better - You boppped. Great song, idk if it fits? But i'll still rank it well. Katy Perry - Cry About It Later - Meh. Not that great, but it fits Kylie Minogue - Celebrate You - This is fine LOONA - Star - BOP. Idk if it fits, but I guess its about dreaming about someone Group B Spoiler Phoebe Bridgers - I Know The End - WOW great choice. Really fits the theme and I like the mood Britney Spears - I Wanna Go - At first I was like But I get it. Marshmello and Demi Lovato - Ok Not To Be Ok - Painfully basic Janet Jackson - Together Again - Nice choice, makes a lot of sense. We love the pandering to Auburn Miley Cyrus - WTF Do I Know - This is okay. I don't think its really my vibe Bee Gees - Stayin Alive - Well... Too bad I don't like it Dua Lipa, Angéle - Fever - Please? I guess you made it fit, its also a fun song so yay Miley Cyrus - Breakout - This feels awkward as a song. Maybe it was better 15 years ago Charli XCX - forever - Great choice, one of my favourites of hers too Ariana Grande - breathin’ - Makes a lot of sense given its subject matter. I've never been that big of a fan of this track, but it fits well and I actually appreciate the message. David Archuleta - Just Breathe - Sort of left no impact on me whatsoever Dua Lipa - Don’t Start Now - This is what I would've tried to send ngl. It's a GREAT song, and I feel like it captures the mood of 2020 in a different way - it isn't melodramatic and reflective, but it has some of the themes of the year anyway. Open Mike Eagle - Everything Ends Last Year - Fits really well, but its not super engaging. Chloe x Halle - Lonely - Yep yep, great choice! One of the songs from them where I forget how much I like it until I listen again Electric Youth - Innocence - Filler Madonna - Like a Virgin - hmm? It's enjoyable Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out - Not your fault but I hate them with a passion ~
bestfiction Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Tame Impala - On Track Definitely a highlight from the albern and fits the theme Billie Eilish - bury a friend wait a minute.... um HAIM - I Know Alone Artistry The Manhattan Transfer - Nothin' You Can Do About It Manhattan Transfer was such a dumb stand in Jojo's Bizarre Adventures. The song is ok I guess Startisan - Quit or Run Where did you even find this ma'am Solange - Losing You Didn't know she was good before Seat At The Table This slaps Foxes - Friends in the Corner Pretty basic but tolerable Taylor Swift - Cardigan This... doesn't fit the theme at all I mean it's a stun but I won't rank this high Lorde - A World Alone Excellence Marina - Solitaire Haven't listened to FROOT in ages. It's pretty good though Janet Jackson - I Get Lonely IMPACTnet's best song Mitski - Nobody A classic Little Mix - These Four Walls boring TWICE - Better Nation's GG songs are usually hit or miss to me. This was mostly a miss. Katy Perry - Cry About It Later It's fine Kylie Minogue - Celebrate You Let me guess... You wanted to send Say Something but it had banned letters so you went with this? This is ok but not outstanding LOONA - Star An anthem but doesn't really fit the theme
Rotunda Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 (edited) TAME IMPALA - ON TRACK While I generally find Tame Impala to be somewhat boring, I thought that this track was pleasant enough to save to my library. BILLIE EILISH - BURY A FRIEND This is one of Billie's weaker songs imo, but it's still good. The fact that you sent this is a scream in and of itself though. HAIM - I KNOW ALONE I genuinely do not care for HAIM at all, but I do think that the chorus of this song is pretty enjoyable. THE MANHATTAN TRANSFER - NOTHIN' YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT I like the overall vibe of the song, but it's nothing special imo. STARTISAN - QUIT OR RUN It's not bad at all, but it also doesn't really leave much of an impression. SOLANGE - LOSING YOU This song has really grown on me over the years. A nice bop. FOXES - FRIENDS IN THE CORNER The song reminds me of Dagny's Backbeat a bit (Backbeat is better though). Regardless, I really like this. TAYLOR SWIFT - CARDIGAN One of the best songs of 2020. A big ass reach though... LORDE - A WORLD ALONE You can never really go wrong with a Lorde track. MARINA - SOLITAIRE Homegirl is very hit or mess for me. I liked it a lot more on my second listen, so we'll see where this falls. Regardless the song is too damn long. JANET JACKSON - I GET LONELY A smart choice. MITSKI - NOBODY Yes. LITTLE MIX - THESE FOUR WALLS This song goes nowhere, and the pacing is weird at various places. I'm not really here for it, but at least it's on theme. TWICE - BETTER Sounds like Meghan's Me Too at parts, but enjoyable. KATY PERRY - CRY ABOUT IT LATER Repetitive, and don't see how it fits KYLIE MINOGUE - CELEBRATE YOU One of the better songs on Disco, but not really sold on it LOONA - STAR This doesn't really read as "on theme" to me, but it's a bop. It also reminds me of some classic, but I can't figure it out. Edited January 4, 2021 by Rotunda
