Donna Summer - She Works Hard For The Money

Not really feeling this that much. It's a fun track, but it doesn't hold up that well. The production has some nice parts overall, but it's very much so a product of its time despite the fact that this sound has come back to influence today's pop soo :deadbanana:

Black - Wonderful Life

I'm not.. really feeling it sorry. It's a tad too boring for me. It has some nice touches here and there but it's just not for me

The Cranberries - Animal Instinct

This has some nice moments. I love the verses and the production/instrumental on this is great. The chorus on this is pretty weak though, and it really keeps me from loving this song :/

Mac Miller - My Favorite Part

I mean I get the choice, as Ariana is on it. Her part on this is great, but Mac Miller's part on this is quite flat and he has so many better songs in his catalog. It's cute tho, but idk if this will be the thing that takes you back

Laura Branigan - Gloria

well.. your chances are already over considering you used a banned letter and it will be nearly impossible for you to still come back. This is fine I guess tho, not a big fan of her vocals but the production goes off and is really great

Queen - Somebody to Love

queef has so many better songs but I guess at least it isn't b*hemian rhapsody. Pretty good

Aretha Franklin - (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman

Very pretty, what a voice whew, i feel like it kinda drags a little but this is a good entry nevertheless

Aretha Franklin - Respect

cute, fun song and absolute classic

Donna Summer - MacArthur Park

WHEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW :jonny5:  The instrumental, the vocals, the DRAMA, the SWITCH. What an incredible song and an incredible pick for this round! Great job

Avicii - Wake Me Up

addicted to you>

anyways was never a big fan of Avicii's mixture of acoustic/country sounds with EDM. Aloe does a good job on this I guess but this song is just annoying to me with the production :michael:  not my cup of tea sorry

Aretha Franklin - Think

my least fav Aretha song this round I think. It's cute but the other songs kinda just blow this out the water

SULLI - On The Moon

it sounds like a lullaby, and a bad one at that sorry x

Natalie Cole - This Will Be

it's kind of the collapse huh, great choice

hope i tagged the right ppl LOL!

Aretha Franklin - Respect

I prefer this over Natural Woman but still overrated

Donna Summer - MacArthur Park

the first Donna song is better, but it's nice

Avicii - Wake Me Up

Spoiler

Donna Summer - She Works Hard for the Money

Not exciting at all. It goes on way too long for me, sorry.

Black - Wonderful Life

Super boring.

The Cranberries - Animal Instinct

Super boring.

Mac Miller - My Favorite Part

It's cute Neo-soulish music.

Laura Branigan - Gloria

Awful and banned.

Queen - Somebody to Love

Not great. I'd pick something else from them.

Aretha Franklin - (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman

Total classique.

Aretha Franklin - Respect

Total classique, but it's not really one of my favorites from her.

Donna Summer - MacArthur Park

It's campy and cute.

Avicii - Wake Me Up

Wow. I expected to PAN this, but it kinda has aged well???? It's super fun to sing along to.

Aretha Franklin - Think

CLASSIC.

SULLI - On the Moon

AWFUL.

Natalie Cole - This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)

It's okay. Very yogurt commercial uwu.

Donna Summer - She Works Hard For The Money

I see the appeal of this entry, since it's a disco classic with a sort of empowering message but honestly, I'm not a fan of this. It feels like a run of the mill disco track and to me doesn't really possess the traits that led to the disco revival in 2020.

Black - Wonderful Life

Extremely cheesy. Sounds like an AC radio staple that you don't mind playing in a car but that's it

The Cranberries - Animal Instinct

Awwww so this song is about motherhood, so cuuute :chick1: It could use some tweaks in production though. Feels a bit dull

Mac Miller - My Favorite Part

Call me an uncultured swine but I've never really given his music a shot. I see what you're trying to do with sending in an Ariana feature but the song is pretty solid and well-produced so congrats I guess x

Laura Branigan - Gloria

Not this being a blatant Physical ripoff :bibliahh: it slaps though!

Queen - Somebody to Love

Their music just doesn't resonate with me at all. It feels too theatrical, which should actually work for me but it does not.

Aretha Franklin - (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman

I enjoyed it much more that I thought I would :bloo:

Aretha Franklin - Respect

Oh wow, spill miss thing! This is a feminist anthem for a reason :clap3:

Donna Summer - MacArthur Park

Stomps on the previous Donna song :clap3:Now this is a disco anthem we all need

Avicii - Wake Me Up

I appreciate the fact that you went with a contemporary artist. The song has aged but it's not half bad.

Aretha Franklin - Think

I honestly didn't expect her music to be this good. All of her songs this round are very solid.

SULLI - On The Moon

Legend. This reminds me of the second Siobhan Donaghy album.

Natalie Cole - This Will Be

A cute classic!

Spoiler

Donna Summer - She Works Hard For The Money

It's a very fun bop but a little on the long/repetitive side

Black - Wonderful Life

This lacks anything to captivate me or keep me listening

The Cranberries - Animal Instinct

This is kind of weird, I don't have an opinion on it :skull: It's okay I guess but sort of boring

Mac Miller - My Favorite Part

It's cute, I like it - enjoyable listen. I think I would've preferred other Mac songs

Laura Branigan - Gloria

Ew I hate this :skull: Certain songs are meant to be relics and not dug up

Queen - Somebody to Love

I really don't like Queen. This song is just super grating to me

Aretha Franklin - (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman

WINNER! You sent my favourite Aretha song ever and one of my favourite songs of all time.

This is such a classic and represents her artistry so well to me

Aretha Franklin - Respect

Also GREAT!  Growing up I hated how often this was covered fjfjls, nothing beats Aretha's though

Donna Summer - MacArthur Park

Really fun bop, I like it a bit better than the other Donna song here

Avicii - Wake Me Up

Not sure how I feel about this. Its a bit annoying but I also don't hate it - middle

Aretha Franklin - Think

YUP!!  the Aretha senders this round did the best imo

SULLI - On The Moon

Ah listening to this makes me sad, you can tell she had such a creative mind

This is really pretty but I would've preferred one of her other songs

Natalie Cole - This Will Be

Cute but its a little grocery store playlist to me

a little disappointed i guess? but certain people did well
