The opening was so stellar I thought. So much tone, and imagery, and all of the senses. This song is something I’ll probably think about after this competition because of how much I was intrigued by it. There are so many lines to pick up that I liked. The chorus is brilliant and really drives home this idea of passing time through personification and rebirth. Just a really creative entry, from start to finish. Also, yeah it’s not extremely Halloween-y but I think describing Autumn works a little considering the environment surrounding Halloween. Wow this is such high praise, on a personal level that is probably the thing that I would hope for the most and want to hear the most out of writing so this fills my heart.
