ATRL Moderator Element Posted July 4, 2020 ATRL Moderator Posted July 4, 2020 the tiebreaker entries have been sent to the judges! @Astronomy @clue @Dylan' @supaspaz
ATRL Moderator Element Posted July 4, 2020 ATRL Moderator Posted July 4, 2020 TIEBREAKER RESULTS @Marvin vs. @thecptz It is now time to reveal the results of our tiebreaker challenge. Both contestants were asked to send a song relating to the below picture. The judges have scored each song, and the person who sent the higher scoring song will advance to Round 8. The lower scoring song will become the eighth person officially eliminated from this season. Marvin - Taylor Swift - Bad Blood Spoiler Astro - 7.5 - It's ridiculously generic and tells a story of someone wronging them, good job. However, it's incredibly cringeworthy and I don't feel compelled by this at all. It just doesn't feel as applicable compared to the other song, soz. Clue - 9.5 - This was great, but it felt a bit immature for me. Dylan - 8 - I think this describes the moment after one is stabbed in the back better than the act itself if that makes sense. She’s had time to feel vengeful. Good choice though. supaspaz - 9 - Both are good. I don't want to have to pick. thecptz - Leyan - Stab Me in the Back Spoiler Astro - 9 - I think tone wise it's darker than expected for the picture, but the lyrics give it a story that I find far more interesting than what could have been given for this picture. idk, i just find it interesting, especially with the literal title. Clue - 10 - Very dramatic in the best way possible. They're making a deal in the photo, but the guy has... other plans. Dylan - 9 - I think this photo comes as a surprise to the person being stabbed in the back and your song details that hurt well. supaspaz - 9 - Both are good. I don't want to have to pick. Great work both of you! However, one is the definite winner... Spoiler By an average score of 9.25 to 8.50, @thecptz advances to the next round!! @Marvin, the tribe has spoken. You made a great effort! Thank you for playing! Your next round will be posted later today and involves COLLABORATION x

ATRL Moderator Element Posted July 5, 2020 ATRL Moderator Posted July 5, 2020 @Bey_Rihstan @Buddy! @dussymob @EriKills @kiiwii @kipperskipper @Lucky#17 @Not Like The Movies @Staryu @thecptz @Tom Vercetti @Touch It @Yvess @Astronomy @Dylan' @clue @supaspaz Castaways, welcome to Round 8 of Survivor: All Stars (ATRL Edition)! Immunity is back up for grabs... and this time it's for TWO tribes! Just one tribe will be heading to Tribal Council. The theme for Round 8 is... Out of the Box Outwit, Outplay, Outlast This round, we are doing something a little different for your challenge as a tribe. Each tribe will work collaboratively and will send THREE songs, with each of your songs representing one of the following three words from the famous Survivor slogan, "outwit / outplay / outlast". Thank you to @supaspaz for this exciting challenge idea! OUTWIT: defined as "deceive or defeat by greater ingenuity"... this is all about using your brain and thoughts to advance and manipulate others, whether through social or strategic gameplay. OUTPLAY: defined as "to play better than another" or "to outdo another"... this is all about being stronger and better at something (often a game) than another person. You are able to adapt to the game's twists and turns well. OUTLAST: defined as "to live or survive longer than another"... this is all about perseverance and making it through obstacles. The end goal of Survivor is to make it past everyone else. You must submit all three songs in your tribe camp at one time. You are not allowed to claim a song for one category in advance. If another tribe has already sent a song in, you will be told to switch that one entry. Make sure to tag the hosts with your final entry. The judges will score your entries out of 10, as usual, with them directly comparing all three outwit entries, all three outplay entries, and all three outlast entries. The two tribes with the highest averages this round will win immunity. These tribal averages will be added to your overall scores. Since there are no individual entries, individual immunity will not be applicable as it usually is. Take Into Consideration: The panel will judge the audio/lyrics of the track you submit. Music videos will not increase or decrease your score as some music video plots differ from a song's true meaning. The theme is what is important here. You will not receive a low score because you sent in a song one of the judges does not like. Taste will at the most be the difference between an 8.5 or a 9. We will never dock off multiple points based off mere preference. The song you choose should display the meaning upfront. An interview with your artist clarifying the meaning of the song will not be taken into consideration. Judging Scale (May Vary By Judge): 9/10 – Great entry. Track displays the theme given head on. 8 – Good entry. Displays theme well but not as well as others. 7 – Okay entry. Fits decently but is missing something overall. 6 – Somewhat tackles the theme but falls flat. 5 – Track mentions theme but is otherwise off–base. 3/4 – Song does not hit the theme given besides a line or two. 1/2 – Song has to do with a completely different subject than the theme. No cute examples this time! Get interpretative! The TWO tribes with the highest average scores will be safe this round, meaning that ONE losing tribe will attend tribal council. Your three tribal song submissions are due in <24 hours (9 PM ET) on Sunday, July 5th. Good luck and please let the hosts know if you have any questions!
