Welcome, one and all, to a brand new ATRL tournament. I am your host, @talent.

 

Traitor is a game played in 15 rounds. Within each 24 hour round, you must send a list to me with the name of every player in the game and whether you wish to TRUST or BETRAY them. If you do not send me a list within the 24 hours in the first round you will be automatically out of the game, but in every round after I will automatically repeat your last list from the previous round. You will also receive a warning the first time this happens. Assuming you get a second strike without being betrayed, you are out.

 

If two players TRUST each other, they each gain a point. If two players BETRAY each other, nothing happens. If a player TRUSTS someone who decides to BETRAY them, they are eliminated from the game and the Traitor steals all of their points. If someone is betrayed by multiple people in one round, the points are split amongst the Traitors. While the deaths will be announced each round, the Traitors will remain a secret until the end.

 

Every 3 rounds, a minigame will be played. The winner(s) of each game will earn a mysterious item that grants them a beneficial power within the game. As with much of the other information in this game, sometimes the winner, item, or power will be kept a secret.

 

At the end of each round, a scoreboard will be posted. It will list every score in the game from most points to least, but it will be kept confidential who has each amount of points. There are two ways to win: at the end of 15 rounds, have the most points in the game, OR be the last person left standing before the 15 rounds are up. In the case of a tie for most points, there will be NO WINNER, and the game will be over. The name of the game is to come out on top. Being friendly will only get you so far.

Nah, it's clear . Basically an alliance type of game but a fast phase one.

awesome! and yes, exactly. one where you are both encouraged to have alliances and potentially turn on them before they turn on you!

i was even thinking it might be fun to never reveal the traitors so nobody can use it as a reason to betray someone in following seasons    but i feel like that would make for an unsatisfying ending as well
