Great result obviously but I was expecting 500K at least. So much for 'I can be bigger than Adele' :fan:

edit: wait this is lower than Bieber too :fan: love it

No Ed is slightly bigger globally, Bieber has the touring advantage.

I thought Ed's success is quite Eurocentric. Bieber seems to have bigger presence in Asia and America.

DDddd at the ATRL losers. They LOST AGAIN. Best selling album of the year in just one week, pulling record-breaking streaming numbers, HUGE sales WW. Biggest song of the decade. If this is losing, god, I want to LOSE

SO(T)Y is already a timeless classic and the biggest streaming song of the decade. Pulling 14M views in YouTube everyday while hitting records after records in Spotify. ATRL LOST, ED WON.

Cheap Thrills 9.0 will be forgotten in a year or 2 :rip:

I absolute dislike Beiber and what he represents but he is obviously bigger than Ed Sheran. I only know about him because of this site and I know people who thought thinking out loud was a 1D song :rip:

Bieber is a bigger star than Ed, that's undeniable. He's also bigger in terms of success in the US. Around the world it's debatable. X was a massive, massive album.

Bieber has a bigger career and more celebrity than Ed Sheeran. Ed Sheeran is currently a more successful act by far, though his cockiness may hurt his new album in the long run.

Thank goodness for Ed; so far we've only had 2 weeks with 35k or lower #1 seller. Though both were around 30k (La La Land + Descendants).

Bruno's pure sales + SPS longevity is freakin AMAZING.

he's doing 30k in this sales climate after 15 weeks. Holy s***. :clap3:

Metallica still Top 3 pure sales :clap3:

The Weeknd's numbers are underwhelming. Can't believe his hype died after 3 months. Doing less than 8k is very bad :emofish:. Great streaming numbers but i don't think it compensates the lack of sales for an era like Starboy supposed to be.

METALLICA BUNDLES UP SOME CHART NOISE

Rock roars on this week's charts. The mighty Metallica will take the #2 spot on both our SPS and album-sales rundowns this week, scoring about 75k for their Hardwired... to Self-Destruct (Blackened) fueled by an ongoing ticket bundle for the Q-Prime-repped band. Check out charts in mere hours for final figures. The WorldWired Tour kicks off 5/10 in Baltimore; go here for itinerary. Shawn Fanning will be working the merch table.
