We want to see you in your element. There are no rules or restrictions, it just has to be good. Any topic, style, and length will be accepted (but don't reach). At Platinum Records, we value lyricism in all its forms. Poetic, straightforward, story-telling, abstract, rap, pop, dense, or laconic. We encourage you to find your style and develop it, while also taking risks. Those who prove the most captivating will move on to the next round, which won't be as open, so take advantage of this opportunity to shine your best light. Just display your charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. Because we have a tight schedule here at Platinum Records, your first entry will be due by Tuesday April 17th, at 11:59 PM. PM me or Sam your entries by that time. A link to the due time will soon be available. The judges will then deliberate and get back to you the following Friday. Sign ups will be open until then. This will be updated with any and all pertinent information such as new episodes, press releases and official chart postings. If you can't remember where you're up to and don't feel like searching through pages of the thread, make that your first priority. As Hor has already eluded, this round is essentially going to determine which songwriters we'd like to recruit to write demos for our other, more established artists, so we're willing to take a look at anything you're willing to give us. Those who impress will be signed to our publishing company, but remember from there on out we as a collective will be requesting more specific songwriting skills, styles and inspirations to be showcased in future episodes. As always, feel free to ask any questions and have fun with it. Go crazy. Be brave. Just impress us. Slay!
