Unforgettable needs to make that up in four days. So far, HUMBLE. has averaged 217 spins/day this month, Unforgettable 314 (so that's Unforgettable making up an average of 97 spins a day this month). This will be insanely close. Hopefully Humble. pushed through with final days of YEC.

It's #74 on iTunes and isn't in the top 200 on Spotify, meanwhile it's nearly top 10 on both Pop + HAC. Heart.me Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Only AC/HAC massive hits getting +2/3M updates (Shape of You, TNHMB, What About Us, SJLT), Urban/Rhythmic don't do countdowns anymore?

Songs on AC are getting massive updates because AC stations are switching back to their normal programming after most of them becoming Christmas/Holiday music stations for the month of December

brianc33710 Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Okay @simmnfierzig and everyone else on ATRL. I have come up with a better term than "organic" to describe songs that grow at radio. "Metric-Driven" airplay is airplay that grows based upon a song's sales, streaming, and All Access' Rate the Music scores until the song gains enough familiarity with the GP for the callout reports. Yes, I know that labels will discount downloads to help drive their songs up the charts. But, if the GP buys the song and doesn't like it, the discount won't work. We've seen plenty of discounted songs that fail to catch on with listeners. The songs either never rise or they plummet after just a few days even at $0.69 US. Still, "Metric-Driven" airplay better describes songs that grow at radio due to listener popularity than "organic."

Callout showing their relevancy once again Sam Smith is actually getting great call out scores in big markets like New York and Los Angeles. Those numbers we get to see for free are just a tiny national sample released by mediabase for free. In every market research and call out scores are different and stations and radio companies do their own reasearches. You think they rely on some tiny national sample released free on the net by mediabase that is completely irrelevant to their local market? Sometimes what works in one area doesn't work in others.
