I usually agree with the hardcore chart watchers on this site. But I've always disagreed regarding callouts. It's all about familiarity. People start to like songs that feel familiar to them.

Obviously there's no way to prove this, but I would bet that the majority of songs that started out low on callouts and were immediately dropped would have raised a significant amount had they gotten the chance to reach a certain audience threshold. And with that said, I highly doubt that radio stations would be actively losing listeners if a song like Bad Liar had the same AI as a song like Attention.

I've seen users I almost always agree with vehemently deny that payola exists and I've never understood that. Maybe it's not what people think but labels do still essentially buy airplay. I mean... what exactly is a radio deal if not some acceptable form of payola? Why can certain labels not afford to service their songs to radio? Big names get big airplay. And those songs are, by extension, given more of a chance to raise their familiarity and convince the GP that it's something they do in fact like.

Yeah why would radio, a format that needs listeners, play what listeners want to hear. Obviously an insane and wrong theory that makes no sense.

How is VOTF losing so much already? I wanted it to at least hit the Top 10 tbh.

It's only #55 on Itunes. It's not even in the top 200 of US spotify. People don't like the song.

It's not very radio friendly either

To its defence, it's a ballad, a 3rd single plus it has no playlists support. :doc:

It also went from #5 to #18 on US Spotify in the last 7 days :skull:

Also the type of song which doesn't do well on Streaming, enjoy the music. :katie2:

Terrible callout scores

The GP has spoken. Terrible song, everyone i know hates it, I can't believe he followed up the smash TWIL with that terrible single. I'm surprised radio even took it that far...

Yeah still very good. Bit unusual that the 3rd day is lower than the 2nd, but it should be fine.

Funny, it was the opposite for me. TWIL didn't kill it, people just don't like it.
