Are we still on the Xmas freeze? When are normal updates starting? Monday?

I'm pretty sure the updates aren't normal again until the week of the 14th because next week the updates get abnormally large to compensate for the freeze before they go back to normal.

 

Havana still #1! Not that I'm complaining but it's feels like she's been there forever!

6 weeks on Pop and 4 weeks overall are not forever  "Perfect" will dethrone her soon.

Compared to the most recent pop #1's she has been there a long time. Stay pressed though!

Yeah, 6 weeks at #1 on Pop is huge imo, not many songs spent more than 3 weeks at #1.

This freeze is the weirdest thing yet

In previous years, we saw the topp songs on radio, especially pop, lose so many spins due to the switch to countdowns...but this year they are all still gaining across the board

So do we think Bad At Love, New Rules, Wolves and End Game are going to see a big surge up the charts when the updates go back to normal? They're the songs I see most likely getting the biggest updates as their labels push them up the charts.

That's a real shame too.  The Airplay thread should be devoted to what the thread says -- Airplay.  "Stan Wars" should go to Stand Your Ground.

I had asked about the huge boosts on ITunes too, as to whether these huge climbs were the same as 2016-7.  You have forgotten about airplay, and I have forgotten about sales boosts.  Shape Of You has barely given back any of the 25 M AI boost, and Body Like A Back Road is still gaining.  Also, 2017's big hits had big boosts on streaming too (ODS and VS).  @alexanderao is the best to ask about that year-to-year comparison.

You can see live playlists of many stations.

 

He's only getting 1-3 spins on Hot AC stations that are playing it. Many aren't.
