Cardi truly was the breakout artist of 2017

"La Modelo" also debuted on the Hot 100:

Plus, Ozuna and Cardi B's "La Modelo" debuts on the Hot 100 at No. 52, starting on Digital Song Sales at No. 40 (19,000) and Streaming Songs at No. 41 (11.7 million). It opens at No. 3 on Hot Latin Songs (where it marks Cardi B's first appearance).

But people told me Cardi was a one hit wonder. I’m confused. Oh well, Cardi doing what Iggy couldn’t.

I can't believe Bartier went that high at the beginning of its chart run. :jonny: Her power.:jonny: Get another #1 soon bitch. :jonny:

So transparent. But hey we love a good bandwagon hitch.

Have staying power. Remain relevant. Write her own music. Be authentic. I could go on.

They both have one #1 and a further two top 10s... Iggy's were also global. Cardi's, not so much.

So happy for Cardi :jonny: Queen!

can Camila get that #1 next week already?

She’s above Ed on Spotify & YT and they same on radio, he leads only on itunes..

And Havana above Rockstar on itunes, Youtube & Radio

Ed will surpass her in Radio and build a lead starting from tomorrow. He also has a 35% lead over her in iTunes...

I am not Cardi B hater and I am happy that we have new rap girl, because if there's more girls in that genre than someone like Nicki Minaj is not lazy and have to something better, competition is good.

But let's no jump into conclusions yet, Cardi is there for like half a year and we don't know if she will be here for more or she will be like Iggy (probably not because Iggy messed up with pop music); also Iggy was more global.

(also I am not a fan of Iggy, but I can be objective)

I said what I said. That’ll be all. What’s an Iggy? Being global don’t mean **** if you don’t even have a seat at the table of your own genre. Besides Charlie Baltimore is responsible for Iggy’s flow anyway.

100% agree. Too soon to tell if Cardi will have longevity but I hope she does like Nicki. Every female rapper that sees some success is great for the genre and for labels to start investing more in them. :clap3:

Nicki's definitely needed some female competition so hopefully she steps her pen game up just a lil bit more and Cardi's success lights a fire under her ass and motivates her more.
