Beyoncé Mi Gente remix

Beyoncé Perfect remix

Beyoncé Savage remix

Just cheap ways to get a high peak credited to her name instead of putting in the effort to create a song with these artists.

The worst part is hive acts like Beyonce is the reason for their success when she's always added after a song takes off lol

This depraved, disgusting, demented music video was the real choice. biblio

Who booked Kendrick Lamar on these tracks ? suburban

WAIT where is Kendrick's verse on that Maroon 5 song ? Have they cut it out ? It still says he's featured in the description lmao, maybe he's just not in the video version, but I could've sworn he was.

what a moment… not in a good way

I'm still confused to this day, it BOPS, but I still don't understand how Dua and Megan would ever exist in the same universe psyduck

Honestly, 99% of all collabs are business moves. None of these artists hang out together and start working on the song, so that a collab could be seen as an organic result. It's always the same: the management gets contacted first, tapes are being sent out and then the song goes to production and mixing

I'm happy you chose all three of these, because we have documented records from Billboard where Beyoncé's version came a week or two after the initial record began plateauing on radio / sales based on Hot 100 chart runs.

Hot 100 runs pre (bolded) and post B release:

  • Mi Gente? 19 -> 21 -> 3 (+#1 on Latin Songs with Remix, dethroning "Despacito" after 35 weeks on top)

  • Savage? 14 -> 14 -> 4 (partial week of Remix) -> 2 (full week of Remix) -> 1

  • Perfect? 3 -> 3 -> 1

    (Ed was about to lock in at #3 for weeks behind Post Malone / 21 Savage "Rockstar" and Camila / Young Thug "Havana" that were still trending up on radio / chart points)

I just assume a lot of them are people that started stanning Ariana around the TUN era. Like, 2 Italian American pop stars with theater backgrounds and a sizable dance catalog absolutely make sense collaborating, especially when one was a fan of the other.

On-topic though: any of those Maroon 5 remixes that used to terrorize the music industry. Every single one of them are awful. The band itself is awful, but the collabs are even worse.

Sugar remix with nicki

Kendrick kinda worked on bad blood. Thats why i didnt incude it in thread

I love Gaga dearly but Ariana and Blackpink on the same album felt like some bull**** label interference suburban

In fact I would say that it cheapens the album in a way, and that Ariana in particular actively cheapens Rain On Me (she probably would've been better on a different song)

DCMA truly is the worst collab in recent memory, their complete lack of chemistry and each of their parts seemingly belonging to different songs always send me deadbanana2

Avril and Nicki

Honestly Mariah and Whitney's "When You Believe"

They just wanted to let 2 vocal legends on a song together but there's a reason why it was the least successful single on the Hot 100 of Whitney's "My Love is Your Love" era as the rest went top 5 and this didn't even go top 10

This. They turned a 10/10 song into a 1/10… Truly awful

remix is better than OG but the addison propaganda needs to be clocked cm

They also act like Beyonce writes her music when she quite literally uses the most writers to make her music of any artist in history rip(this is not even an exaggeration)

Ariana and 2 chains and it really was lol
