Does Spotify not count clean versions and explicit versions together?

 

Edit: For today's chart the clean version and the explicit version seem to be counted separately. Yesterday, it was counted as one. The explicit version is #81 on the Top 200 chart today. Perhaps it's because of the way Atlantic uploaded the song onto Spotify. They ****ed it up a bit. The clean version has the audio remastered and when you type the song title into the search bar that's the version that comes up first. The explicit version is the original, non-remastered song but originally they upload a remastered explicit version. However, they faced backlash over the remastered version so they changed it the original. But the clean remastered version has yet to be changed back to the original version. Hope they get this fixed.   

 

 

So it should be #8 today. Thanks for noticing, I knew today's update was super weird. They usually get this stuff fixed in a day or two. I remember the same thing happening when PILLOWTALK debuted. I'll fix it when I get home (I'm on mobile atm).

XO TOUR Llif3's clean & explicit versions are still not combined (it's actually #9 w/1,066,795 streams), so Khalid isn't top 10 just yet. I hope he makes it soon, though

Spotify needs to get on combining clean and explicit versions ASAP... this is a super-easy problem to fix and will undermine the accuracy of the chart if it's not (because who knows what versions are below the top 200?)

it is crazy how male dominated spotify is right now. of 43 songs with 500k+ plays, only Issues is female-only.
