Staunch_Character Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 I can't with the Spotify sausage fest. Why do men do so much better than women on streaming? Is this just a natural course correction from the pop girl dominance of the early decade, or is it indicative of something more? The ladies truly need to get in formation and quick.

Male music has always been more successful. Always. It's socially acceptable for guys and girls to listen to male singers whereas female singers mainly just have female/gay fans.

Top female album of 2014 (1989), top female album of 2015 (25), and top female album of 2016 (Lemonade) all thought they were above streaming during release weeks. They'd all have broke huge streaming records if they were on streaming. And Rihanna was on break for nearly 4 years before Anti and will probably be on break again, so with no Adele/Taylor/Beyonce/Rihanna ofcourse females will have **** streams and artists like Ariana/Selena will be considered streaming forces for females, when truth be told their audio streams aren't all that.

I'm starving to see a girl who's actually talented and not only sings makes it to the mainstream (because there's a lot of them in the indie scene), I mean everyone can sing today, X Factor is loaded with 4 octave range singers, we need artists with a special thing about them.
