I've always side-eyed their treatment of black artists and black art. Been questionable for the longest time.

To avoid any confusion, by "their" I mean Atlantic records btw.

Really weird that she's coming for Kesha specifically over this and also trying to race bait with the whole they wanted it to sound this way but look that way, meanwhile her vocals are barely audible on the song so clearly that was not the case :rip:

Wasn't Pebe also the one who told Kesha to add the Dahmer lyric into Cannibal? She's so messy. :deadbanana2:

Why did she interpret "won't feel the same" as sth racially veiled when it is way more likely that what they meant was "it won't sound as good if we adjust it within Kesha's range"?

Y'alls comprehension skills are TERRIBLE :toofunny3: especially when it comes to any black person airing a grievance about literally anything, but what's new?

The hook of that ridiculous song is abhorrent no matter who howls it - but especially Kesha trying

This comment is so unsettling. You should seek therapy.

Muni: The excuse they gave me was that Kesha couldn't hit the note but that doesn't even matter. The record company didn't pay me or treat me well.

Gays: Why is she shading and being mean to Kesha?

:bibliahh:

She said "specifically Atlantic" like 3 times in the video…because she knew ppl would run with this as an insult of Kesha, lol.  That was not the purpose.

…b/c as she said, this was just 1 situation among many situations she has experienced with Atlantic.  It's a series of videos/situations.

I'm referring to this specific incident though. She took "it won't feel the same" as "it won't sound black" (that's my own assumption based on what she said) which is a wild conclusion to jump to when she was informed that Kesha just couldn't hit the notes. I'm sure she's been ****** over multiple times by these shady labels so I can understand her train of thought.

You can quote me directly babes. Asking questions doesn't make me racist. Downvoting and then subbing is childish

The fact that the usual suspects ( @SlayPerry @Digitalism @Stunnah @Yes, AND) are painting a featured artist who did not receive any money for her biggest song until years later or possibly never as a villain in this scenario is truly sick.

It's a known fact that Kesha herself got massively screwed over by Luke and his entourage with this song, yet you shamelessly latch onto anything you can find to paint Kesha as a villain.

Not surprised though.

Please point out to me where I blamed Kesha in any way. I know you are trying and have been for a LONG time to gaslight me into talking bad about Kesha but it will never happen from me. So please, just stop it.

You can easily listen to the acapella and stems and it's all Kesha so yes she's falsely dragging another artist. Her vocals are simply not on the song.

Also why is Atlantic Records involved on a song that is owned by Sony? Neither Kesha, Pitbull or her at the time were signed to Warner Music. There's just a lot of weird things about what she's saying.

We all know the industry is ruthless and unfair but in this case I don't know what she's complaining about. She got credited, she got payed and it's all good. Pebe dropped her 2% claim when Luke blackmailed her by threatening to withdraw royalties payments to everyone involved and in the end Kesha was not payed for this song at all (or anything she has released pre-2014).

I'm sorry, but I need to correct you. I've listened to the stems, and Muni's vocals are only present during the 'woah'/'woo' sections, layered underneath Kesha's vocals. I don't agree with her dragging Kesha, but it's a fact that Muni's vocals are there. They're in the stems/multitracks.

However, this is a common practice in the music industry. It's well-known that other artists contribute layers, backing vocals, ad-libs, and such. Many A-list singers have other artists layered in their tracks

Am I wrong in thinking that it doesn't make sense that Kesha couldn't hit the notes? We've heard Praying, she's got the range.

She never tried to hit it again during live performances.
