The question is TIRED. Ariana is a superstar in her own lane, just as Gaga is.

It's so hard as Gaga was so impactful and had such a huge peak both in music and later cinema

 

But Ari has never had a low point like Gaga has in terms of her career, and her consistency and longevity is incredible.

Close to it. Gaga had a much bigger peak, but Ariana has shown much more consistency and longevity. I'd say if Ariana comes back even harder with her next album, she will officially "surpass" Gaga.

Ariana has been bigger than Gaga every single year in the last 11 years so I'm inclined to say Ariana will surpass Gaga to the extent it has not happened already.

I think so. Gaga's first bang can't be matched of course, but she struggled a lot along the way and still does, while I think Ariana's constant growth (she was always succesful and yet she peaked with her fifth record!) makes her a way stronger artist.
