Graves Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 HIGH SCORE 10 x 2 (Frappucino, Ewan Chaos) 9.5 x 2 (Rev8, Quicksand) LOW SCORE 6 x 1 (Dark Miracles) 4 x 3 (Terylee, GraceRandolph, redsing707) Lowkey a bop. Oh, I think we've cracked the code on what ATRL look for in a Sabrina song. Number 1: Keep things uptempo and bouncy, even if in a relatively understated manner like this. Number 2: keep the lyrics flirty and dripping with attitude and personality. Or else you can kiss her cute ass goodbye. And most important of all? Number three: Do not be country or country-leaning! Got all that? Good, then let's bop to one of the better album tracks on the Short Girl album. Ewan Chaos: "Oh this still-charting best non-single on the album. The Miami bass and cheeky lyricism (less in the horny sense that the rest of the album has but a better stern warning than PPP) make this song incredible." Invisibility: "Love me a good Ariana lite moment. But it is missing something I fear." Moonlight Nation: "The production work here is incredible! I have such a soft spot for this sound. Lyrics are a bit hit-and-miss, but I really enjoy the central premise."
Ewan Chaos Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Honestly, Don't Smile is pretty cute, especially alongside her other ballads. It's a bit more vibey rather than just slow and boring like the other ones, and has JUST enough lil Sabrina sass in reversing the cliche "don't cry because it happened..." saying. Good placement. Bye Kink kiiiiii
Ewan Chaos Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Meanwhile Good Graces is out too early... should have been top 20 at LEAST. And it better only be Espresso (obviously) and Taste (undeservingly but unsurprisingly) above it as far as Sabrina songs go
kimberly Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Taste - Bed Chem - Espresso - Juno correct 4 songs left from Sabrina
Graves Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 Rough day to be from the midwest... HIGH SCORE 10 x 6 (Frappucino, Quicksand, Ken Lee, kimberly, BowWow, Invisibility) 9.9 x 1 (Meloetta Carey) LOW SCORE 2 x 1 (Ewan Chaos) 0 x 2 (Curaga, GraceRandolph) Unapologetically camp. I kind of live. Like yes, snaps for the white girl rap she threw in there. Points for that overly long and ridiculous title. Just a good time, don't listen to the naysayers. A statement of intent to open the album, Chappell can't help but to stretch herself across several different themes and sounds. I think the "love it or hate it" reaction here is fitting for the song, the entire record, and indeed for Chappell herself! I dunno, I like it! It grew on me a lot during voting~ Oh, and the unintentional shade of this following Sabrina's album on the playlist. "Um, can you play a song with a ******* beat???" Curaga: "I'm sorry, but the "funny" speaking parts in this song are so cringe " Ewan Chaos: "The upbeat songs are generally better than the slop of slow songs on here... This song is the exception." Ken Lee: "Show stopping, spectacular, vomit on it, etc." Invisibility: "I love this because, right off the bat, you can feel Chappell's electrifying persona... and distaste for men." Moonlight Nation: "The chorus goes ridiculously hard despite its campy nature. I love the song's mission statement and themes tackled, making for an excellent opener. Bold, creative, and very fun!" 1
MusicLoverDude Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I remember when this song got be ousted from Arbitrary Song contest over Hollaback Girl last year. (I had Gwen, this song was one spot higher)
Graves Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 11 x 2 @K$Ellie & @GraceRandolph HIGH SCORE 10 x 8 (BowWow, greento, Julia Fox, GreatestLoveofAll, Ace Reject, glitch, 305, Curaga) 9.5 x 1 (Rev8) LOW SCORE 2 x 1 (redsing707) 1 x 1 (Quicksand) Look, while I'm glad that we've definitively proven that Club classics was the better double a-side single track, that doesn't mean that B2b has to get this level of disrespect. Out of the top twenty entirely? Below Guess? I guess it is kind of repetitive, but that works for me? It's clearly one of the more obviously club-facing tracks on Brat and that sort of meandering repetition is what club mixed thrive on. Wonderful production work and a hook that needles into your brain and forces you to bop along to it. I fear this song was laced with crack, and we should hurry along and detox quick. Meloetta Carey: "There's something very "Sexy Girl" by Namie Amuro about this one." Curaga: "Insaaaane production value. I wish she had done more with it though. She's normally repetitive, but this is pushing it lol." Ken Lee: "Club classics out-everythinged." Moonlight Nation: "This song took a long time to grow on me compared to the rest of the tracklist. I still think the first half is a bit too repetitive, but the second half is fantastic." 1

Graves Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 HIGH SCORE 10 x 4 (K$Ellie, Curaga, 305, Ewan Chaos) 9.5 x 1 (kimberly) LOW SCORE 4 x 1 (Julia Fox) 2 x 2 (Graves, Dark Miracles) Maybe if this was the Billie remix I might have scrounged up a couple of extra points for it, but it isn't. So... A track that was made to be used in twink Instagram captions and nowhere else. It did a good job if the prompt was to make a song that can be quoted by the most insufferable f*gs and hags that you know. But as an actual song? Less so. I don't know, I just never liked it. I find it meandering in a bad way and it feels like it doesn't go anywhere fun and, as pointed out below, it has repeated verses. Maybe I'll be kinder to the remix when we rate the remix album. And maybe I won't be. Ken Lee: "Billiemix would've received a big fat ZERO but the original KNOCKS." Moonlight Nation: "It feels like an incomplete demo with Charli repeating the same verse twice. The remix with Billie Eilish truly unlocked this song's full potential." 1
Graves Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 Top 20 Sabrina (4/14) Taste Bed Chem Espresso Juno Chappell (4/15) Red Wine Supernova HOT TO GO! Naked In Manhattan Good Luck, Babe! Charli (9/18) 360 Club classics Sympathy is a knife Talk talk Von dutch Everything is romantic Girl, so confusing Apple 365 Tinashe (3/8) Getting No Sleep No Broke Boys Nasty 2 1
Ewan Chaos Posted January 14 Posted January 14 This was always the best deluxe track even before there were whispers of Billie being on the song, let alone it being included with the standard tracks in getting a remix (well SB did get the Kesha remix too but definitely tacked on!) Glad it got this far since I know it has its strong haters (clearly sihodshoidhsiodhs). Love B2B but yeah... if I had to pick more Charli being kicked that would be one. And I'm in massive massive agreement that Club Classics WAY outsold, wasn't sure if people would come around to that concept but I guess Charli snubbing the song a bit (at least on tour) helped. 1
Ewan Chaos Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Erm okay. Actually Talk Talk should already be out wth....... I mean the remix with Troye is one of the best remixes on that album, but the standard is, while super fun and I love, probably b3. Oh well, happy with everything else still in for her & hope she mostly dominates the top 10. Same with Tinashe, but I need her to get at least 2 of those songs in the top 10... Sabrina's top picks are good, though personally I wish Good Graces would have been her second highest. I don't really care when the non-Espresso songs leave. Chappell's top 4 are PERFECT Only really want one but would accept two of those songs being in the top 10 nnnnn.
K$Ellie Posted January 14 Posted January 14 oh those last two should've EASILY been top 20 but Charli is dominating the top 20 so I can't be mad I guess
Graves Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 Me when Red Wine Supernova was the highest charting Midwest Princess track: Hmmmm it's ok but Pink Pony Club is better. Me a year later: switching like a f****t with my wand and my rabbit
glitch Posted January 15 Posted January 15 The three worst Tinashe songs still in... I would've traded Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl and Femininenomenon for Red Wine Supernova and Naked in Manhattan personally. B2B is better than club classics idgaf, but most of Charli's remaining songs make sense. Sabrina's picks track, but I'm still kinda surprised Please Please Please went out so quickly.
