She must've been one of those kids that never left Nickelodeon/Disney Channel. :skull:

Oof, if those kids are the future for pop music (and entertainment in general) we have a bleak, bleak future ahead of us

This girl is so annoying and has zero talent. She literally copies Britney every chance she gets but wants to act like she wasn't a fan :ahh:

Britney was still a HUGE popstar while that girl was growing up.

And yet copies Britney.

I mean, they weren't dead during those years. I don't know about Xtina, but Britney had a solid early 2010s career.

I watched the interview and it wasn't shade.

I don't think she's saying she was not influenced, but she didn't live through their peaks which is factual.

She could've learned about them and did her homework later on.

Based on her soundcheck covers Tate stans Katy, Taylor, Billie, SZA and Selena. She knew exactly what the "droplet era" was when someone asked her about Selena.

What a weird comment, it's definitely a bit backhanded (you can tell by their reactions) especially since late Millenials and Millenial Gays have been building her up and really supporting Tate.

Even being born in 2003 she would've witnessed some of the biggest moments of their careers. I coach 12 year old cheerleaders and even they know Britney and her biggest songs/moments.

To be a pop artist and say something like this is just bad form.

Lemme go listen to Sarbrina :rogue:

Like what? She was 2 when Britney shaved her head, 3 during the Gimme More VMAs performance, and like 7 during Britney's last successful era :rip: Britney fans stay delusional and weird.

That wouldnt matter sis. At age 7-10 I knew what a popstar was. Was Tate completely cognitively impaired as a child? Britney even performed at the VMA's when she was a teenager :deadbanana4: I mean in 2016 she even did that huge BMA performance honoring her. Did she miss that moment too? What about #FreeBritney which is arguably one of the biggest pop culture moments in the last decade.

She was born in 2003, why are y'all mad? :rip:

those Ariana/Selena moments were experienced in real time so of course they're more memorable to her

She grew up dancing to Britney and xtina's hits :clap3: The interviewer asked her about pop culture moments while she was alive which is why she mentioned Selena and Taylor :rip:

#FreeBritney was definitely one of the biggest pop culture moments in many, many years. Britney shouldn't have been included in that conversation in that particular manner imo.

FreeBritney was like 2 years ago and it wasnt a music project :rip: They were asking her about music/song moments in her teen years.

I'm the weirdo when you say sh*t like you said in your last sentence? :ahh: Proving my point that you're just a weirdo. I always defend Britney on this website, you millennials are just weird being mad over the fact that this girl, who I don't even care about, was born AFTER her peak.

You think she remembers listening Womanizer when she was 5? :suburban:

If a regular person (not an artist) said this I would be 100% ok with it. but you're an artist cmon do some research and check what previous huge popstars did and how they pushed boundaries, and be inspired by them. Also, why not mention Gaga, Katy, Rihanna or Beyonce? having Selena as an inspiration for a music career is dangerous :deadbanana2:

Bring her back to the Khia asylum!

Ok but she's mentioned Britney and Xtina in other interviews. Not y'all acting like this is the only times she's ever mentioned them.

Lol you joined this website in 2009, when Tate and I were like in pre school. Why don't you show us how you look, Sharamee6 :flower:
