Britney and Christina didn't dissappear off the face of the earth in 2003 2. She grew up in the era of YT so I don't see how she wouldn't have at least checked them out. Also her aesthetic is literally so Britney coded like girl 3. Selena? Really? I get Ariana and Taylor but Selena? Like I have never understood the hype with this chick, she can't even carry a note All in all she's only 21, I just don't find the age excuse all that relevant. Bruno Mars was born in 1985 but still regularly draws influences from artists like Michael Jackson, Earth Wind & Fire and Kool & The Gang, all who peaked before he was alive. Beyoncé's two biggest female influences are Diana Ross and Tina Turner, both of whom also peaked before she was born, yet somehow growing up in the 80s and 90s they were still able to learn and be influenced. Whatever. she didn't imply any of these though i'm a year older than her so i understand why she's trying to say, when she was a pre-teen/teenager pop girls like ariana and selena were becoming really popular and they were very active. not to mention she knew them already when they were on disney/nickelodeon like she obviously knows britney and christina as well and listens to their music Edited Monday at 11:59 AM by hallucinate 1

It really is somewhat sad how pop culture pretty much died in the early 10s. 80s, 90, 00s really were the decades to be alive!
Solar Posted Monday at 02:14 PM Posted Monday at 02:14 PM That clip is giving lack of pop heritage but maybe it's out of context.

I would just love to know what you would be saying if you were all born in 2003 too. She was just telling you what SHE grew up on, it's not her fault she wasn't born in the 90s, jesus christ. she's always been a fan girl of the 90s. 1
Titanbaddie Posted Monday at 02:56 PM Posted Monday at 02:56 PM (edited) A lot of you are very delusional about how much of the iconography and pop culture from 1996 - 2002 actually lasted in the GPs consciousness, especially for people who aren't... 1. Hell, even Xtina at 8 was singing Sunday Kind Of Love a song released 20 years prior. Same with Gaga, Bowie born like 40 years before her and she still show him some respect. There's something named pop culture for a reason, it's up to you if you prefer watching HSM or VH1. Tate has credited both Britney and Xtina multiple times in the past as her inspiration. To snub legend x and thee Britney Spears to praise Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift made a throw up The interviewer asked her what she grew up on. She is influenced by Britney and x now. She has cited, credited and praised them many times before.
Draper. Posted Monday at 03:16 PM Posted Monday at 03:16 PM She's to Britney and Xtina what Ava Max is for Gaga and Normani is for Beyoncé. Nothing. 2 2
