Tovitov Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) I'd rather Gaga flop 1000 times over than see her get the lashings and vitriol Katy got during the 143 rollout. Edited November 9 by Tovitov 1
ericcartman Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) Gaga is flopping but Katy flopped more. Katy didn't win..both are just flops. You were wrong about DWAS shaky start, it exploded..however, you are right about LG7 lead single being worrying. Monsters must admit that. But I'll still dislike to be on the right side of history Edited November 9 by ericcartman 1
Acuminatus Posted November 10 Posted November 10 The legend is back! I like how Kukai isn't even pretending to like Lady Gaga anymore. Anyway, I am perched for more shaky threads! 1

Pop Art Posted November 10 Posted November 10 You're getting rusty sis, your title (Katy won against Gaga) and actual OP (they're both flops) don't even match.
Nando_05 Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Lets be real (for a second): no one is doing worst than Katy Perry this year. She's at the lowest point of her career. But at least, she seems to be in a happy place

Let's think about it: - she's in good health and doesn't have a JFAD under her belt - she has a child and a stable relationship with Orlando Bloom (who seemingly doesn't advise her musically) - built a multiplatinum recording career with diamond singles (going higher into the pop stratosphere than many, but her music has simply gone its course) - she gave Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora, Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, and Kelly Clarkson songs as a songwriter - she was never laid up on a White House desk writhing under R. Kelly (and doesn't have recurring nightmares that the video will leak one day) - no text message has ever been revealed of Katy begging a producer for writing credits after another artist released a similar song. 7

Girl this thread is about their careers, idk why you're bringing up personal life, but Gaga is happily engaged (or already married?) and health wise she says this is the best she has felt in ages, so she's completely fine. Also, you're talking about achievements from the past, we're talking about present day, in this day and age Gaga is doing better than Katy and that's a fact, you're talking about JFAD but even then Katy would never be able book a lead role in any movie whatsoever, every actor has colossal flops in their careers and they're still able to book more roles, so don't worry about Gaga she'll be completely fine. The R. Kelly thing has already been discussed, and has nothing to do with this thread, next. When has Gaga ever begged for writing credits? you're just making **** up now.

If you're bringing up personal lives, Gaga's engaged to an almost-billionaire and Orlando Bloom hasn't starred in anything in two decades. Flops of a feather I guess

trainsskyscrapers Posted November 10 Posted November 10 57 minutes ago, Colmillo said: When has Gaga ever begged for writing credits? you're just making **** up now. Quote Lady Gaga demanded a writing credit for a Jennifer Lopez song which she did not warrant, according to damning leaked text messages. Two months ago, the Born This Way hitmaker finally settled a six-year copyright lawsuit with relatively unknown musician, Rebecca Francescatti, who accused Gaga of being a ruthless artist willing to protect her reputation by any means necessary. Court documents released by the Daily Mail reveal how Gaga, 31, heard Lopez's Love? album song "Invading My Mind" and thought it bore striking similarities to "Judas". Both tracks were produced by RedOne, who Gaga texted several times to demand she receive both a songwriting and production credit to avoid accusations of being a "copycat" or "unoriginal". Legal documents reveal that Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, said she penned Judas following her split from entrepreneur Speedy in May 2010, explaining: "He's the betrayer of all things, you know, because Judas is the biblical betrayer of all things." In one text message dated 17 March 2010, Gaga writes to RedOne: "We need to update Judas beat..it sounds to much like Jlo 'invading'... redone!!!! We have a big problem [sic]." Several hours later, the Poker Face singer added in another string of messages: "Red.. It is exactly like judas I can hear that the same midi was used and moved around. U have to change the track for her..even the FORMAT is the same ...., And its on perezhilton.com as a leak. And peeople [sic] will say I stole from jlo! I love judas SO MUCH but I can't look like a copycat of JLO!!!!" Gaga continued: "I am very concerned about this JLo thing. Iʹm afraid you and I are gonna look bad. What if people say Iʹm unoriginal because of this?" "I am so afraid. I played it for a few more people They were worried. Maybe if u gave me credit on both songs it would avoid comparison? .... Iʹm very concerned I will get accused of being unoriginal. But if u credit me on both records ..oneee for production, one for writing it will certainly help w the comparisons. [sic]" Gaga then requests: "IF and only IF u give me production credit on invading my mind, ill give [her Hypnotico record] Because this was if anyone notices similarities, I can say 'I worked on that record [with RedOne]'." RedOne replied: "Of course." Gaga then concluded: "Ok. I don't think I will do, duet, but I will give her the record if u SWEAR to give me the deserved credit on invading my mind." Not long after the text exchange, RedOne tweeted: "For those who don't know, @ladygaga Produced/Wrote with me TWO records for @JLo, 'Invading my Mind' and another one coming SOOON!!! OMG!!!" Lopez, 48, was previously unaware that Gaga had any involvement with her Love? album. However when the news was made public, Lopez told Access Hollywood at the time: "I didn't [get to meet Gaga] and I wish I could have. RedOne, who collaborates with her on a lot of her music, worked with me on this album. "He played me different ideas and different things and one of the ones that I responded to, actually a couple of them, he was like: 'Just so you know, I worked with Lady Gaga writing those. And I was like: 'Really? Is it OK if I do them and make them my own?' and he was like, 'Absolutely'. So I kind of lucked out." https://www.ibtimes.co.uk/lady-gaga-songwriting-drama-jennifer-lopez-exposed-leaked-text-messages-1634237 2 1
