How is basically doubling Britney's streams and more than doubling total streams almost the same? Even if we exclude CC Beyonce's catalogue has way more streams. Britney's streams are concentrated in her big singles while Beyonce's streams are much more evenly distributed among album tracks. E.g., Toxic pulling 90% of ITZ daily streams. 

 

Album streams:

1. IASF - 4 billion

2. BEYONCE - 3.5 billion

3. Renaissance - 3.1 billion 

4. 4 - 2.7 billion

5. DIL - 2.5 billion 

6. BDay - 1.81 billion

 

7. In the Zone (Britney's highest) - 1.79 billion

 

Beyonce excluding CC is still pulling 10m+ daily streams.

Beyonce excluding CC is still pulling 10m+ daily streams.

solo : 7,51M / 239 tracks = 31k
last studio album : 2024, 27 tracks

Britney
solo : 6,08M / 153 tracks = 39k
last studio album : 2016, 12 tracks

The mental gymnastics you're doing are so embarrassing. Beyonce beats Britney in streaming flatout and the only way you can make Britney look good is by putting in 628227 conditions.

 

Im embarrassed for you. At the end of the day Beyonce is doubling Britney daily streams, has 6 albums more streamed than ITZ (Britney's highest) and has more than double Britney's total streams.

You came in here so confident that people still listen to Britney but not Beyonce and then conveniently ignore Beyonce stomping on Britney's spotify streams, with 6 albums more streamed than Britney's most streamed album.

 

You had to resort averaging out solo tracks streams which doesn't even make sense since no one compares average streams. You could remove over 100 tracks from Beyonce and her daily streams would remain the same because those tracks include random remixes doing like 2 streams daily. 

 

Why not compare their total daily streams where Beyonce's 11.9m is doubling Britney? Or lead streams where Beyonce still dominates at 10.6m daily? 

 

Be honest - youre just running out ideas.

This is why education and learning reading and math are important. You were just presented with facts which showed Beyonce doubling Britney's daily streams with 6 albums more streamed than Britney's highest.

The 440 is very deceptive without the context you conveniently choose to ignore - hundreds of those Beyonce "tracks" are random remixes, karaoke versions etc. which are doing like 2 streams daily. You could remove 200-300 tracks from Beyonce and it would not make a dent in her streams.

 

Your original assertion was that people listen to Brit but not Bey which is objectively false from a consumption perspective.

When we look at their studio albums catalogue excluding those ridiculous remixes Beyonce has 6 albums more streamed than Brit's highest album. Thats an undeniable fact.

Beyonce since 2016 : Everything Is Love (2018), Homecoming: The Live Album (2019), The Lion King: The Gift (2019), Black Is King (2020), Renaissance (2022), Cowboy Carter (2024).

And this is tea. Beyonce has had well over 10x the play listing that Britney has had in the streaming era AND she's released 3x more studio albums. The fact that she just put out another studio album this year, full of collabs with top stars, and is already down to Britney's streaming numbers despite Britney only releasing 5 singles in the past 10 years is the greatest indicator of whose music is remembered more longterm.

Britney's first two albums are among the most dated albums by any of ATRL's faves   Don't get me wrong, I still listen to the very iconic singles from those albums, but in a way that is heavily influenced by childhood nostalgia. 

 

Femme Fatale and Britney Jean… I cannot take anyone seriously if they think those albums have aged well. Dr. Luke and will.i.am productions… I mean come on

 

Beyoncé's music almost always has R&B at heart. That's an entire genre that, to my ear, is way less subject to rapidly-changing trends than pop music. 

 

The only Beyoncé album that has aged poorly (and lbr was already weak upon release) is Sasha Fierce. It's also the only Bey album with both cheap pop music trends and AC-pandering ballads (If I Were a Boy).

I think Britney's music sounds more "early 2000s" but still has a bigger replay value. I feel like most Beyonce's album (maybe with the exception of B'Day) are unlistenable in 2024.

Most of Britney's discography is a representation of the pop music trends at the time. Many of which are not present today. Whereas Beyoncé has mostly been grounded with R&B, whose sounds aren't as representative of the time that they were released.

The way no Britney era has moved more units than any corresponding Beyonce era since Beyonce's solo career started yet they're still going at it  4flop alone dominated Circus + Femme Fatale and Britney Jean combined.

 

4 - 2.7b (12 songs). 1 billion more streams than Britney's highest streamed album ITZ.

 

Circus - 1.45b (15 songs)

Femme Fatale Deluxe - 821m (16 songs)

Britney Jean Deluxe - 451m (14 songs)

 

Let's not even talk Glory which is pulling an abyssmal 50k daily with 17 songs. When you look at actual Beyonce studio albums, she has much higher streams on average than Britney. Thats what happens when you exclude irrelevant remixes/karaoke instrumentals which pull 2 streams daily for Beyonce.
