State of Grace. She will most likely have many releases in between that are unrelated to the Ethel Cain lore. She has been teasing "Perverts" on merch for months now and she has spoken about it a little: Quote The singer, who broke through with her record Preacher's Daughter, has long held a specific vision for her alter ego. Ethel Cain uses fashion to shine a light on Americana in its many forms, from a (Givenchy) cheerleading uniform to a Budweiser tank top. Now, as Anhedönia looks to the future of the project, she is using clothing to help define the next chapter. "I'm very interested in character studies," she says. "Working on this new project, I wanted to take a step away from the solo narrative that Preacher's Daughter was built around and branch out into some other things." While she keeps a tight lid on what's in store, she does offer a hint: "Each of these characters became a costume, and then each of these costumes became a look for the show." She was verifying and editing lyrics for Punish and Amber Waves on genius back in August and they are the only "confirmed" tracks so far afaik. Edited October 14 by State of Grace. 2

I'm so excited, I want to see her live again next year 1
CottageHore Posted October 14 Posted October 14 (edited) 3 hours ago, FlyPirate said: well Punish is definitely slower than anything on PD besides August Underground/Televangelism (and still Punish's first half instrumental is even MORE sober and serene than those two). Haven't heard any Amber Waves performance cause I want to experience the project as fresh as possible. EDIT: nvm I just read that the track playing in the clip she posted on instagram months ago of the movie Reflecting Skin was actually Amber Waves. Oh that one was GOOD... can't wait What about Dust Bowl? Do we know if that one will be on here because I'm obsessed. Or maybe it's part of the B sides that we'll never get nevermind, I saw the previous posts x it's over Edited October 14 by CottageHore

pink lightning Posted October 15 Posted October 15 The best news I could have today omggggg I know this is going to end me Since it's not part of the PD world, how I wish it was similar to the Inbred sound

State of Grace. Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Manifesting more of this excellence. Fave pre-PD song Would also love more tracks in the vein of Two-Headed Mother and Unpunishable sound-wise. 2 1
Bad_vocal_technique Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Omfg the creator of preachers daughter, aka a master piece is back. I fear it won't be as good though coz could it be.
CottageHore Posted October 16 Posted October 16 I feel like this song is gonna be in the vein of Two-Headed Mother. I just pray it's not as ambient and her vocals aren't as drowned out as they were on her first two EPs. I'd like to at least be able to detect a melody and to discern the words she's singing. Preacher's Daughter is one of the most impressive debuts ever but Inbred EP is my favorite sound by her easily

CottageHore Posted October 16 Posted October 16 I've decided I won't accept that Dust Bowl isn't on this. I'm gonna be delusional and hold out hope

Like pitched up? I feel like I can hear the clipping. I refuse to believe she's actually hitting those notes because that's insane

Also God's Country is SO underrated. 11 hours ago, CottageHore said: I feel like this song is gonna be in the vein of Two-Headed Mother. Not ambient per se but yeah. I know the guitar bridges and outros are gonna hit hard tho. Anyway I know she's gonna surprise us all for good. 11 hours ago, CottageHore said: The big note at the end is edited right? Like pitched up? I feel like I can hear the clipping.
