GodGa's album is full of show tunes and jazz covers and was only announced 2 days before it came out. If you are genuinely comparing these two, you're low IQ no offense.

Harlequins floppage hit differently - more severely - because of the high expectations and organic hype accompanying it. On a mental level, the flop is more consequential... and sets up Gaga for an interesting redemption arc with LG7. 

HARLEQUIN's successful debut as the biggest jazz album does not hit anything like 143's commercial and critical failure, a big comeback POP album that her label poured so much money into, 3 music videos paid off, VMAs bought, so much $$ sunk in only to put them in debt. no one expected it to flop, in fact her label thought dr puke would be getting her the hits, her fans thought all the twitter yapping meant she was in demand, 143 was supposed to be her big return to being an A list mega star! meanwhile gaga's 5 dollar side project has no consequences for how her future projects are gonna pan out.

I would have never thought we would see their two fanbases in such a passionate war, fighting about who's flopping harder in 2025 

 

Obviously Katy's flop has more consequencies. It's her main project, it's bombing and her image is suffering right now. Gaga's Harlequin is surprisingly flopping too but at least it's not a main project, Monsters can use that excuse.

This thread makes no sense.

 

Harlequin is a side project almost surprise-released made of jazz covers, while the other had months of pre-orders, over 10 versions, brand new POP songs, promo everywhere and supposed to be a comeback. Still, Harlequin outstreamed and most likely will outpeak 143 on everything - not to mention the Traditional pop Grammy in 2026 is secured.

 

Y'all need to stop putting Katy and Gaga on the same boat when they clearly aren't.
