That's the parallel right there. It's really that easy to find. "None at all" would be like if I were comparing her to a man in the art restoration field industry who doesn't like when people tell him to use one solvent over the other. Britney was treated horribly by the press from the time she debuted up until and through her breakdown. Everything she did was nitpicked - her appearance, her dance moves, ect. By 2008 Britney wasn't even treated like a human being; she was constantly followed, her parenting skills were criticized, she was put in dangerous situations by being chased on the freeway. And I could go on, you want to draw a parallel to that with someone getting, by comparison, slight pushback over cancelling dates and complaining about fame all while actively trying to attain more fame. These situations are nothing a like to me…at all. We'll just have to agree to disagree

These situations are nothing a like to me…at all. We'll just have to agree to disagree Please take note of the fact that I never said the situations were the exact same nor of the same scale. They are of the same category however: women in music dealing with celebrity and mental illness issues. I am drawing a comparison for what we decide is "okay" treatment of or reaction to a female popstar clearly (or admittedly) struggling with fame, one who is going through something mentally. Again, my point is and has always been clear on this: Chappell should not have to reach a threshold of terrible treatment before people can allow her to take care of herself without critique, ridicule or disdain. This entire back-and-forth now is centred on the fact that I said it seems people haven't learnt much from the way Britney was treated. I'll repeat: I have not said the treatment is the exact same thing nor that they are facing the same issues. If you really want Chappell to suffer to a Britney-level before allowing her any sympathy whatsoever, that's pretty cruel. Edited October 3 by swissman

This past month would have been overwhelming for anyone, especially for someone who was relatively unknown earlier this year and was living a regular life. She deserves a break. So shes essentially a white azealia banks? it all makes sense now
KRZYINLUV Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Chappell wouldn't have to "protect her mental health" if she didn't feel the need to run her mouth and comment on every single thing.
