PoisonedIvy Posted September 19 Posted September 19 It appears Abel, Bruno, Billie, and Gaga are surpassing Taylor lately. She's still massive but she's no longer dominating as the #1 artist like she did for 2023, i fear. That imminent downfall is upon us. 1 8 3
Glamthony Posted September 19 Posted September 19 i don't think so, but TTPD lack of hits somehow hurt her streaming reing among the GP. 1
Walk_Away21 Posted September 19 Posted September 19 The Tortured Listener's Department is definitely over. There's no good singles on the album to stabilize it a bit. Fortnight just left the Hot 100 this week. She needs to move on and hopefully we get some new production and content. TTPD was a bit too self indulgent, samey, and melancholy. And The Alchemy was a horrible Travis uptempo. 6 1
Digitalism Posted September 19 Posted September 19 TTPD drove a lot of casual listeners away. Also she hasn't got a hit single in a while which would have increased those numbers. I guess the 2 thousand weeks at #1 are more important than people liking and listening to the music for her 4 1

Didn't know that but man was that song not a hit OT: Another TTPD and the hit to her popularity could be even harder. Lack of quality is also what kills an artists' success. favorite crime Posted September 19 Posted September 19 TTPD just killed her momentum, but it was the biggest momentum of any artist since like The Beatles so it was bound to end. It would make sense if her imperial phase was now over. Especially if she does do movies for real. She'll always sell a bunch of albums and she probably has a few Hung Ups/Believes in the tank, but that's it. But of course Taylor always finds ways to prove everyone wrong so who knows. Maybe she's cooking up another 1989 sized era. 1 1
Taylena Posted September 19 Posted September 19 I need you guys to stop trolling for likes and get real. Most artists can only dream of hitting 60M daily streams with their new releases, and even then, they usually maintain that for just about a week. Meanwhile, Taylor is holding steady at 60M with no signs of dropping anytime soon. If that's what slipping looks like... 13
Goaty Posted September 19 Posted September 19 I'll celebrate a fall from the top when her tickets become reasonable to obtain again (so basically never ) 1 1

No one is saying that she's flopping but that her time as THE #1 artist in the world will come to an end. 1 1 1 3
Europe Posted September 19 Posted September 19 It is a good thing for her to stay low for a while and avoid overexposure. As soon as the next leg of the tour starts, the surge will begin again.

Bigger than Michael Jackson's Thriller, quite literally the biggest era of all time, and the follow-up Bad with a record-breaking five back-to-back #1 singles and also one of the biggest albums of all time AND the follow-up which is one of the biggest albums of all time Dangerous? But she's not seeing bad numbers until 2030 me fears.
Archetype Posted September 19 Posted September 19 I don't even stan her, but most "MPGs" can't even reach #5 in monthly listeners during their release week
MonsterTown Posted September 19 Posted September 19 nah, reputa will make her go high again, no worries her wig is safe.

americanshameless Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Swifties themselves making threads like these so they can gloat when the next first-week streams come in is the most untouched grass thing ever 1 3 1
GrandeVersace Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Idc about numbers or her music tbh but will gladly stream tf out of Reputation (TV) once it's out. That's the only album of hers that matters in my house.
