A presidential candidate using your image without your consent to claim you support his racist and regressive views is a big deal. If you think his views are abhorrent, you'd want to publicly distance yourself from him, right? MAGA is getting more explicitly racist and disgusting with each passing day. It's becoming less and less acceptable to support Trump because "you support a strong economy" when so much of his campaign is built on disgusting racist tropes and downright lies. I usually try to steer clear from "all Trump supporters are racist" generalizations but supporting Trump is THIS environment? IDK yall. Look at what Ted Cruz posted yesterday. There is a sickness spreading in the MAGA Camp.

Anyways, the writer really didn't say anything that we haven't said here. Taylor is not a Trump supporter (unless you're a troll arguing in bad faith and you've already decided that she is one), but the silence is not a good look. It's clear that the media won't shut up about it until Tree sends them a statement or Taylor herself tells Trump to **** off again.

Whether coordinated by some party or not, these think pieces are definitely being done with the intent of getting her to speak out sooner than she already would have (her past track record suggests she would have spoken next month, around when voter registration closes for Tennessee for the November elections, but the Instagram post after the Vienna situation tells me she might want to wait until the last night of the tour, two days before voting day). They know she's not actually a Trump supporter.

I think she's not making public statements about the AI use because she will endorse Kamala a few weeks before the election for maximum impact. If she took an anti Trump stance now her endorsement impact would be dampened. 

 

Public relations aside, all wealthy people benefit from conservative parties' policies, so won't be surprised if most of them are rooting for Trump anyway.
