Breathe On Moi Posted August 5 Posted August 5 In 50 years we will all be dead, including some if not all of them.
Brikenbur Posted August 5 Posted August 5 (edited) Out of all these lovely gals, Beyoncé is the one more revolutionary when it comes to her career. More artistic. More of a risk taker. More of a spectacle. I think her career is more jaw dropping from her iconic performances, iconic songs, iconic albums, iconic fashions, iconic visuals, etc. So her. Edited August 5 by Brikenbur 2
Ari29 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Beyonce is already nearing 30 years. Her proximity to The Obama's will also work in her favor when it comes to history 1
Soda Pop Queen Posted August 5 Posted August 5 (edited) Beyoncé and Britney are already halfway to 50 years and the world still acknowledges them so... Edited August 5 by Soda Pop Queen 2 3
Ivan_brit Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Britney & Rihanna trhey had been basically retired for half a decade & still relevant

I 100% agree with this. Beyoncé I feel will definitely be studied in every aspect even if it doesn't deal with just music. But with race, fashion, politics. She's like what MJ was imo. Her acclaim is out of this world. And she's probably the only artist that's synonymous with being the "perfect Popstar" lmaooo!!! Taylor will be remembered for her insane success and songwriting. But her success is def starting to overshadow her art unfortunately. But still, her incredible success is def something that will be talked about, and her longevity. Something her and Bey have in common. Edited August 5 by cuteboyzay
Witnessed ET Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Am I the only one who thinks there won't be just "one" person and all of them will be remembered in the future? like what even is this thread and the replies These are all separate people with separate discographies and image. Adele is known for her universal appeal and people from every demographic might still be tuning in for her albums, Taylor might find a way to keep releasing and keep generating numbers to maintain her commercial relevancy, Beyoncé has her own dedicated faction of the population who will keep supporting her and her legacy among the most successful black artists is huge, Rihanna will have her legacy as a hitmaker and her status as a mega-celebrity with a beauty empire will still keep her in the spotlight whenever she does something publicly, Britney will have her support from a wider audience especially after her upcoming biopic will cement her image in the mainstream as one of the most influential female artists even more. so yeah, all of y'all fighting in here, get a grip. 1
supertiffany Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Adele songs are timeless and classics and surely be the others might have just a song or two, but Adele has her whole music.
Alldeezy Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Rihanna because it's been nearly 10 years and we still begging for that album. Plus she has the most remembered discography
toxicgenie Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Think about who has the most classics: Rih and Brit Least classics: Bey That's the answer.
Feanor Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Taylor is the most adored among the public, is the biggest star, the most global artist and the one with, judging from the past 18 years, the most enduring & remembered catalog of music out of these options. So it's her. 3
burninredhot Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Even if you want to be delusional and argue about how XYZ has more GP support than Taylor, she'd still be the most remembered cuz the millions of swifties and their upcoming generations will continue to adore her 1
TipToe Posted August 5 Posted August 5 All them will be remembered in a way or another, the reach of their influence will be directly proportional to how loyal/robust their fanbases are imo like for example, see Madonna. She is still culturally relevant within certain demographics mainly because her fans are very vocal in spreading the word about her and how she is the blueprint in most things pop culture related and what not. So it's not only about how many people follow an artist and are dedicated to them, it's also about how they can back up all the notoriety that iconic person has. Beyoncé and Taylor take a lead for different reasons imo so their fame will resonate in different ways - B for how important she is for black music, T for crossing over country to pop and being a case for mega commercial success.
Achilles. Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Taylor and Beyoncé will have similar legacy recognitions (Rock N Roll Hall of Fame inductions, Kennedy Center Honors, Presidential Medals of Freedom, greatest of all time lists, Grammy legends) but Taylor will have the slight edge because her music will be more relevant than Beyoncé's.

lonnie Posted August 5 Posted August 5 (edited) I mean the biggest solo acts of the 1970s were Stevie, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Marley, and bands like Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and The Bee Gees. While all of them are still recognized and very huge they're clearly not on the same level of celebrity as they once had and it'll probably be the same with the people mentioned. They'll certainly be referenced and known to a level but not so much as to the levels of fame and success they have now. All of those ladies would be 85+ years then and so much could happen until then. Led Zeppelin and the Eagles are known for their huge numbers but does the average person know them now? Probably not. Finally someone that understands! It really is the story and the things they do that matter more than sales. Beyonce is going to be remembered no matter what because she has become an important and beloved figure in black history. She's like a modern day Josephine Baker. Britney has a life that's like a film and could be immortalized for it like Judy Garland or Marilyn Monroe depending on things that happen in the future. Taylor and Rih are hit makers and will be remembered fondly for their accomplishments in music and business. And I think Adele will be remembered similarly to Dusty Springfield.

mike_int Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Well Kanye will be probably dead, but Im sure Taylor even in her 80s will find some woman to have beef with and keep up her "mean grandma" persona for tabloids. Hopefully most of her current fanbase will grow up or get good therapist till then. So ... Beyonce and Adele it is 1 1
UnusualBoy Posted August 5 Posted August 5 They'll all be for especific and different reasons but they will.
