Le Grande Posted August 5 Posted August 5 (edited) How about distant future? That's that on than then. Edited August 5 by Le Grande
dumbsparce Posted August 5 Posted August 5 All of them will, except for maaaaybe Adele. Her peak was too short lived compared to the rest and she's not omnipresent in pop culture to sustain her relevancy for decades to come.

Her last multiweek Hot 100 #1 was in 1999 lmao. Actually Britney is the only one that has passed the test of time She's is completely retired and done in the music world, and her catalog and legacy have been carrying by her name alone. This might go forever The other 4 are still extremely relevant and the real test will be once they completely retire and become 100% inactive Imo it's could go either way for any of them The 5 have excelled in different areas Imo it could be about luck or future events that trigger their legacy Edited August 5 by Trent W

No one really knows what the future holds in that regard 5
BGKC Posted August 5 Posted August 5 (edited) I mean let's look back 50 years from today. Who do you "remember" more: Cher, Dolly Parton, Donna Summer or Tina Turner? I know their names equally. I'm most familiar with Tina and Donna's hits based on my personal taste, but Cher had the biggest comeback of them all. Dolly Parton is the most active in the media, still pumping albums with tons of business ventures, so I guess one can say she's more engrained into our minds by now. So it really it depends, but you're average (young) person will not know who had the bigger hits 50 years from now. They'll probably know a song or two from each, but there's no way of telling what will stand out then. I can imagine Beyonce and Rihanna's children possibly becoming superstars within that time though, so I'd go with either of them based on family dynamic alone. Edited August 5 by BGKC

The thing that everyone actually knows is how obsessed you are with her. All of them will be remembered. Taylor, Bey, and Britney will be the most remembered of the group.

Her albums will easily still pull 250K+ debuts in 50 years (as long as nothing drastic happens) Taylor won't be remembered in 50 years, she will still be successful. Sis wym debuts lol she'll be pushing 90 at that point
Mike91 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 No one remembers what happened 50 minutes ago anymore, let alone pop artists 50 years from now. We just don't live in that culture anymore. They'll all largely be forgotten, unfortunately.

Might this be a touch of envy because someone else didn't get mentioned? Anyway, yeah I think everyone else agree it'll be Taylor > Bey > others, but all will have a high degree of name recognition.
stevyy Posted August 5 Posted August 5 107 out of Taylor's 264 Hot 100 Entries have only charts for 1-week. (that's almost 40%). So, not her. 3 4
alfonso12 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Beyoncé will most likely be the most remembered because of the iconic videos and the amazing performances. Then Rihanna for her hits and Taylor for her albums. Then Adele cause she'll probably be doing more stuff. Then Britney cause she already retired so I don't think she'll give us more stuff to remember.
LittleCupid Posted August 5 Posted August 5 I'd just like to say that Marilyn Monroe is still remembered even after 60+ years but most people don't care about her movies at all. She is remembered for her controversies, hardships and the lies people told that became turned into "truths". On a similar note there are famous singers from the past with amazing sales and great vocals that nobody really cares about anymore outside of certain circles.
Støned Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Some of you saying Adele would be least remembered. Adele holds the record for the biggest album in the 21st century and the biggest debut week. People might forget her as an artist, but unless someone would break her record in 50 years, her name will still be brought up in chart conversations in the future.

Loca Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Taylor will be the least remembered, for sure. Young girls will age eventually, and so will she. 2
