Aaliyah's vocals do sound very demo-ish especially on Poison, but I still find these songs very beautiful. Do people dislike it because of Blackground?

Yes! I hope so too. I was instantly hooked the first time I heard it. It's one of my most played songs of hers, and top 10 of my played songs in general. I also wonder why she didn't include this song with her team on the ST. This song definitely has a place on it.  Nonetheless, 7/10, I am content with it - she has a stellar discog, only to be envied and ripped by other girls
