ATRL Moderator Element Posted July 22 ATRL Moderator Share Posted July 22 Welcome to the SEVENTEENTH season of one of ATRL's biggest games -- Let's Spoon! _________________________________________________________________________________________ This is the second season of five in The Age of Alchemy era, which will culminate in an All Stars season (20). All star contestants will be selected from each season between 16-19, and the season 20 champion will win a cash prize! _________________________________________________________________________________________ This tournament is an online adaptation of musical chairs! It is based on the iconic card game Spoons. Here's a quick TLDR summary of how it works: - Each day, there is a LIVE challenge (first one on Sunday, July 28). - The first person to complete the challenge wins the first "spoon", which I announce in the thread. - After I announce the first spoon, everyone else in the game has to post the word "spoon" in the thread to stay in the game. They do not need to complete the challenge at this point. - Like musical chairs, there is one less spoon than the number of players each round - so the last person left who does not post "spoon" will be eliminated. - This same process repeats each round. Note that some rounds will eliminate more than one player. This game will require a daily check-in that takes less than a minute! Later on, the spoons go quicker, so activity would need to increase as the game goes on. This season, the rounds will be hosted daily at 9 PM EDT. My schedule right now does not permit me to do rotating times, but they will return in the future! IMPORTANT: Following the success of the previous three seasons, an alternative platform will be used for the live rounds. This game will be a safe and welcoming environment for all players. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, or bigotry of any sort will result in your immediate removal from the game. Don't try me! 2. NSFW content is NOT permitted on the game platform. Please do not post any messages, videos, or images that cross this line, including avatar selection. 3. If a challenge is not posted within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, Element has likely had an issue arise that requires him to be away from his laptop. Please remain in the thread for these 10 minutes for the challenge post. If the challenge is not posted within 10 minutes, Element will make an announcement regarding the postponement and rescheduling of the challenge. 4. Contestants are not allowed to post fake first spoons in order to create paranoia and confusion. If a contestant purposefully trolls like this, they will receive a warning and disadvantage the first time, and will be removed from the game the second time. 5. If any issues regarding the procedure of the game arise, contestants are to deal with them directly with Element, recognizing the ATRL moderators' previously set standard that the host of a game has ultimate authority regarding the progress of said autonomous game.
