'Cowboy Carter' departs UK albums chart after 14 weeks. What went wrong?

Beyoncé 8th studio album, Cowboy Carter, has departed the UK albums chart this week. For reference, Renaissance spent its first 38 weeks on chart, Lady Gaga's Artpop exited after 16 weeks, Joanne after 20 weeks and Chromatica after 21 weeks and Katy Perry's Witness departed after 14 weeks. This happens after Texas Hold Them became Beyoncé's longest running #1 in the country as well. So, what went wrong? Is Cowboy Carter officially a flop? Can Beyoncé bounce back?

Ask Beyoncé, she abandoned the era

And no, Country Carter is not a flop.

'COWBOY CARTER' is not that interesting, and she barely invested on it.

So Witness spent 14 weeks on the charts and it's still not Gold in the UK?:rip:

that album has so much filler-- like no one wanted Beatles and Dolly covers tf, especially in the first half of the album.

She should have committed to the genre and gave an album full of THEs.

(Edit: same reason Joanne flopped tbh... tried to make too many people happy)

the uk chart rules kill off albums way too early and CC basically had one single because whatever was going on with II most wanted is for another day

Do us a favor and tell her it takes more than IG pics to push album units, she won't listen to us :chick3:

The streams are horrendous and pure sales in general are beyond dire, the 5th, new vinyl variant barely helped in UK.

She abandoned the era faster than Renaissance it's truly so infuriating...

Beyoncé actually recently released another vinyl variant, which is why the album went 99 - 40 - OUT

She had this old ass album in the vault and did not want it to go to waste, she got her quick cash grab.

ya'll gon have to accept that beyonce is no longer at the point in her career where charts matter to her. If they did she probably wouldn't have abandoned her last two albums weeks after release.

Girl she's fine. Just focus on your digital album collection that's collecting dust in your Files app. :giraffe:

The majority of it painfully sounds like 2019, yes. :rip:

Oh I see what this is. Y'all are getting dragged in that other thread for being idiots and coming for Whitney Houston, so now you're coming for Bey:ryan3:

1. Boring uneventful era. She didn't seem interested so the people lost interest.

2. Good but tedious album. It needed pushing until general listeners came around to it

3. We are getting fed with other releases this year and CC was left in the dust
