All these comments are really deranged. Whitney and Taylor, in terms of musical talent, are the 2 sides of the same coin. One has vocals only, the other everything else. Why is the former more deserving of praise than the latter?

Whitney's vocal talent ALONE is unparalleled.

Dismissing the vocals of a legend like Whitney to try equilibrating it with the "other everything else" talent of Taylor can be seen as an attack, I'm afraid:bird:

She won't break Whitney's record if Eminem/Zach release an album in early July:coffee2:

She needs to release more versions to break that record:giraffe:

When your top 3 fave's vocal is.... :ahh:

Yet have the ******* nerve to talk about vocal, especially when it is a fact that you probably do not give a **** about Whitney if Taylor isn't even in the discussion with her.

anyway, both Whitney and Taylor legend :clap3:

Taylor can go on breaking as many records as she wishes

tho, somebody need to tell her that no matter how many of them she breaks she could never have and she won't ever have whitney's impact or legacy

It's not the same. We all know. She manipulated the charts and overreleased the same album in countless variants and did too much dumping discounts.

Did not sell any amount of the Whitney album sales. Nowhere near.

It's not even a ww hit album like the Whitney one.

And most importantly no one knows any song from the album by Taylor unlike Whitney's household name song. I will always love you is the ww hit but taylor???? What? No one remembers nor recognizes.

It's unmatched in any aspect.

It's all about a total desperate chart manipulation from desperate tay

To think that Whitney did it effortlessly and organically. The same can't be said for The Fraudulent Poets Department  :clown:

Well-said!

What is everything else? Taylor has songwriting. That's it. Nothing more

Taylor writes, composes, plays instruments and produces. She knows all the ins and outs when it comes to creating an album. Love Whitney, but all she did was show up in the studio and record whatever was handed to her.

When it comes to the creative process of an album (not talent, performing skills or whatever else) Taylor is undoubtedly more involved than Whitney ever was so I don't understand why this record is not deserved. Maybe not for TTPD, but Taylor in general, definitely deserves it since she's a musician all through and through.

the way title of this thread is extremely misleading since the longest running female album in history is 21 with a total of 6 months in #1  :jonnycat: good luck to miss swift trying to beat that

oh, so this is the record she was desperately trying to beat. I guess she will stop dropping variants now.
