Her second album won't see any success either. I see Mariah, Bjork, Kylie and even Madonna stans begging for a new album. All of those artists have more than 10 albums (Madonna and Mariah above 20 maybe ) and the fans still ask for more. She can't even release her second one after 7 years? She thinks the hype is still carried? she is not even that talented. She could just have a few songs handed over to her and get her album out in 2019 and release another one in 2021-2022. she should have her 4th era right now. She blew up as a viral meme girl and hustled her way into the mainstream w mixtapes and features etc etc. The success of Bodak Yellow and then IOP came totally out of the blue and she was suddenly elevated to rap girl, fashionista, cultural phenomenon etc. And wap seemed to confirm all of that. But in reality it never really seemed like cardi was as into making music as she was hustling her way to the top. And she continues to prove that she doesn't really need to release music to remain relevant. Like it's been years and we're all still checking for her. She had mixtapes and stripped to get studio time. She talked a lot about really working on her craft in early interviews.
