Its been 7 years since her debut. No one talks about her anymore. There is NO HYPE around WAP or UP. Her success days are over a long ago. Her second album won't see any success either.

I see Mariah, Bjork, Kylie and even Madonna stans begging for a new album. All of those artists have more than 10 albums (Madonna and Mariah above 20 maybe :rip: ) and the fans still ask for more. She can't even release her second one after 7 years? She thinks the hype is still carried?

she is not even that talented. She could just have a few songs handed over to her and get her album out in 2019 and release another one in 2021-2022.

she should have her 4th era right now. Instead there is not even a second one.

What a dumb woman. She had everything, she was at the top of the game at some point and ruined it all with this unnecessary long wait. Drop it already and move on because it's probably going to flop anyway (hope I'm wrong because I like her).

I think she's just scared of the inevitable flopping/decline. :deadbanana2:
She reallyyy should've released the album after the HUGE successes of W.A.P and UP!!!

Like girl your Album could've been nearly as big as Invasion Of Privacy if you just released it THEN lmaooo!!!

I mean... idk where this expectation that she become a major force in music came from? She blew up as a viral meme girl and hustled her way into the mainstream w mixtapes and features etc etc. The success of Bodak Yellow and then IOP came totally out of the blue and she was suddenly elevated to rap girl, fashionista, cultural phenomenon etc. And wap seemed to confirm all of that.

But in reality it never really seemed like cardi was as into making music as she was hustling her way to the top. And she continues to prove that she doesn't really need to release music to remain relevant. Like it's been years and we're all still checking for her.

Maybe being rich & famous w a family is enough for her and she genuinely cbf w the music anymore? :michael:

The smartest post in the whole thread!

Not people still taking Belcalis "music career" seriously in the year of our Lord 2024 :toofunny2: In any other era, her rap status would have been forgotten about by now and she would be back on a reality show, showing the **** out. She wasn't built to last in music. Let's be for real now :toofunny2:

Threatening not release music is goofy. Girl, that'll only hurt you :dies:

But what makes people think that she was never interested in making music? She had mixtapes and stripped to get studio time. She talked a lot about really working on her craft in early interviews. She has been releasing a lot of music in the 6 years she just hasn't put out a sophomore album.

The longer the wait, the better the record. 🙏😍

Stay strong, sweet queen!

Rihanna better have album of the year if that's the case.

After WAP and Up both went #1, she should've put together the 10-15 best tracks that were recorded and dropped an album in Q1 2021. Entire music trends and careers have gone by since then.
