Sad Serenade Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Espresso will be a huge summer hit, numbers are increasing day by day. I bet even Taylor, the biggest female artist right now, is proud of her friend smashing.

Huge #1 hits here usually get an average of 600k daily streams so for Sabrina doing over 900k after just 2 weeks of release is MASSIVE! Has any song ever done 1 million?
Bethenny Frankel Posted April 25 Posted April 25 not her topping taylor this is going to be #1 fast in the UK
Vespertine Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Not the fake weather news in here Espresso is a cute and addictive song tho.

Yes, Christmas songs every year in their peak, Taylor got 1.5m streams with Fortnight on its UK streaming debut on Spotify on Saturday but that's Taylor we know how huge she is. That being said, it is VERY RARE for a normal hit song to do over a million in daily streams in the UK. Sabrina is somewhat a newcomer to the British GP so for her being #1 on UK Spotify with over 900k streams is incredible. Shows the power of an undeniably catchy pop song like Espresso. Lille Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Sabrina should join the Eras Tour in Europe as another opener, keep the momentum going!
UnusualBoy Posted April 25 Posted April 25 This is huge, although it's truth that is in autoplay, the song started playing after I played TTPD.
drivers license Posted April 26 Posted April 26 she's ending not just Taylor, but also Olivia. who ever saw this coming

Starkboy Posted April 26 Posted April 26 These numbers make no sense this is the Flowers of 2024 I guess.
slas Posted April 26 Posted April 26 The song is a big hit but it has huge autoplay boosting its numbers by at least 30% rn

This started playing after I played Tell Me Why by the Spice Girls, and again after I played As If by Blaque. Like why is this 2 week old song playing right after this 24 year old album track from the Spice Girls from their flop era and soundtrack deep cut from the 2000 Bring It On movie by a forgotten American girl group Spoiler It also came on after I Wanna Be Bad by Willa Ford but I skipped it.
fridayteenage Posted April 26 Posted April 26 (edited) best US Spotify weekly peaks by main artist, female: Taylor - 39+ million Olivia - 31 Ariana - 28 Miley - 21 Adele - 20 Brenda - 20 Cardi, Sza - 19 Billie - 18 Sabrina - 16 And it just cracked 3 million daily. It could be a shake it off/all about that bass situation. except with better music. Edited April 26 by fridayteenage

Kern Posted April 26 Posted April 26 I don't want to add more fuel to this useless weather debate but while it is / has been cold and rainy in this part of Europe the weather is still not so bad. Like when there is sun it actually gets warmer very quickly so you can kinda feel the Spring coming in the air

Like what does that even mean. So Spotify hates every other artist and never plays a song besides Espresso after someone's queue ends?

Yeah, it's so weird, not saying the song is not a hit but autoplay is probably what is causing this huge surge everywhere.
