Achilles. Posted April 26 Author Posted April 26 The fact that we never got a pre-album lead single out of blondie ever again. Her lead singles are always such iconic moments. She is depriving us of culture. I hate it here. She can't keep getting away with this. 1 1
Halcyon Days Posted April 26 Posted April 26 (edited) She was losing me with this song/album rollout tbh traumatizing Edited April 26 by Halcyon Days
Saintlor Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Wait I've just realised, is You're Losing Me about Me's release and not Joe Alwyn? (genuine question) 2

TaylorNation Posted April 26 Posted April 26 I'll NEVER forget my first listen of this song: I was on the back on an uber, getting home after a party high AF my first thoughts were that it must have been the dr*gs, and that what I was seeing / listening was not real when I woke up the next day I realized (in horror) that it was real 4
dumbsparce Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Still a bop, still the catchiest hook she ever came up with
Kimi Posted April 26 Posted April 26 i would pay good money to see a documentary about her reaction to how we all hated it. 1 1
WalkingOnAir Posted April 26 Posted April 26 The famous "palette cleanser" I like it though! We indeed never found another like her-er-er 1

She aged better than YNTCD and The Man, too. So true! Some folks don't like to admit it because "ME!" was the most clowned song back then, but you're right and you should say it. I always found "ME!" more mediocre and uninspired rather than outright bad. Ironically, I like the infamous bridge for giving it some much needed personality, and I would have preferred Taylor proudly owning up to 'Hey kids! Spelling is fun!' rather than silently deleting it in embarrassment. 1 1

Sabrina Carpenter Posted April 26 Posted April 26 the way i HATED this song during its release but i'm fine with it now because it reminds me of 2019
rickycabello123 Posted April 26 Posted April 26 me!, cruel summer, i forget you existed, paper sings bops after bops👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 one of the most fun album ever
Miles. Posted April 26 Posted April 26 In hindsight it's hilarious, and I love clowning ME!th and the whole L0ser era like everyone else on here, but it truly was a shocking and terrifying moment for pop music. The fact that she went from 1989 and Reputation, two perfect pop albums, to this sugary, syrupy, pastel-coated, Kids Bop disaster was unbelievable. I remember actively rooting AGAINST ME!th and You Need To Flop now on the charts, and celebrating when they were both blocked. Thank god she pivoted and has been serving quality ever since. 8 hours ago, Taylor fanboy said: HBO's Game of Thrones Finale Triple threat that day. I know for a fact this happened on May 19th, I will never forget the horror of that godawful nightmare 2
Achilles. Posted April 26 Author Posted April 26 Just remembering that there was a brief 6-8 hour period where we thought the music video was going to be directed by Wes Anderson??? I think it was even "confirmed" by Variety or something.
